Good for Paul to change things up. I still would not travel to hear Temporary Secretary live. Not one of my favorites.
Crowd reaction was over the top...sure hope it stays in the setlist when he comes to the States! BTW, Mr Martinez, you got me wondering, what song would you travel to see??
-
"Hope For The Future" is back, too!

Audio on this one is good, sounds great!

I don't think I missed it if it was posted but does anybody know when the concert started and ended?
-
Thanks for the reports and Set! I'm afraid 'Temporary' could be only for the European market (same as 'Come and Get it', The Word, You Won't See Me, etc etc)

@"yankeefan7": Think big picture; think about the glorious nads it took for Paul McCartney to whip out a left-field choice like "Temporary Secretary." And here I thought Macca was just talking out of his ass when he'd mentioned performing it in recent interviews. And, on top of that, I concluded that Wix and Macca's sound-crew were just noodling with that electro-loop at the Budokan sound-check last month for the helluvit. In hindsight -- despite those clear, blatant hints -- I never dreamed that performing "Temporary Secretary" was seriously on the man's agenda. It tells me that, maybe, he's not so committed anymore to callously discarding a solo record, just because its promotional tour has ended. It also tells me that Paul McCartney could be keenly aware that there was a lengthy period before Beatlemania's spectacular resurgence -- and Macca's laser-focus on it -- that a guy named Paul McCartney was making inventive records during the interim.
I agree. I just watched the youtube video you posted, and I must concede it sounds great live. And a strong crowd response!

Short review of the show. Amazing is all I can say, CBMl rocked as did Another Girl and Dave Grohl guesting on ISHST. Temporary Secretary wow never expected that! Also want to say thank you to Lisa who I met up for a drink b4 the show, and had a brief chat with James and lovetotravel. Can do it all again sunday night! Ps above setlist is correct.

I've just got back home from the concert, it started pretty late around 8:30pm and finished around 11:20pm I think. I left after Yesterday was performed as I was scared I might miss the last train home. Apart from that I really enjoyed the concert, Macca was in great form and it was a nice varied set. And here are some pics which didn't come out too well on my poor camera http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc446/alexio91/DSCN0070_zpsghepfdec.jpg http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc446/alexio91/DSCN0077_zpsaibrbd8x.jpg http://i1212.photobucket.com/albums/cc446/alexio91/DSCN0094_zpsagpyvild.jpg

I guess the first thought that came to my mind was that Mr. McCartney needs to see the reaction from this board over doing one solo song he never performed live. Such positive response even from people like myself who are not fans of the song itself but giving him credit for doing something different. I don't know if it was the band or maybe having his people read this board that nudged him but whoever it was, thank you. I will also mentioned that from listening to the youtube clip the crowd response was pretty darn good. Having said the above, this is still a small step. He did one additional solo song and let's see if he continues to keep it in the setlist. I am not giving him credit for doing "Hope For The Future" because that is basically his latest recording and he has always done these type of songs. I also mentioned in another post that while he did "Temporary Secretary" it is still a song that is well over 30 yrs old. Would love to see him add something from this century - lol. Time is running short on Mr. McCartney's touring career so I am fully aware we will never see the more balanced show some of us would love. I can only hope that this one small step will embolden Mr. McCartney to try to do maybe 2-3 more solo songs never performed live in a concert. This can be done and still keep the Beatle Paul fans quite happy most of the night. And in the end (lol), my message to Mr. McCartney is you have been a very creative artist for many years since Wings, embrace it and share it with the world !!

Absolutely awesome!! I have seen Paul 5 times live and this was his best effort. Not sure if it was because he was home in the United Kingdom or what, but he was much more animated and into the show. Some of US gigs were beginning to lack some enthusiasm. The crowd had more younger folks tthan I have seen at his shows recently. Crowd got energized halfway through. Nice set list. Good to see some new oldies. Great sound tonight. Paul sounded terrific. Thanks for continuing to make so many memories for fans everywhere, Paul. I hope tomorrow's show has the same vibe for those going. By the way, greatly enjoyed the O2. Hope everyone enjoyed the show tonight!!

Oh, before I forget, the show started as others have stated at 830 and ended at about 1115. Took the Tube to the O2 from Westminster. They have really upgraded the stations on the Jubilee Line. Favourite songs tonight - Another Girl and Hi Hi Hi
