You mean they got up there a 2nd time? Some guys have all the luck, as the song goes. I'm sorry, I guess right now I'm in a sad mood and after over 52 years of loving Paul and the Beatles, have never met him, and may never.

So happy for you, DrivinFan! Very cool! When you come down off Cloud 9, please post your story!!

I love hearing stories like this, what an amazing experience to meet Paul in person; so happy for you and your son, DrivinFan!!!!

Thanks everyone for the kind messages... My son James and I had the most awesome Paul experience at Met Life stadium. Attending the soundcheck for any McCartney show is a thrill in itself, but what happened at the end was "mind boggling". As most fans do when attending a concert, we too brought signs to hopefully catch Paul's attention. We came up with one that we thought would do it...I held a sign that said "Paul...my son would be the coolest music teacher, if he got to play with his idol"...and my son's sign simply said "Music Teacher" on it. IT WORKED!! Paul called us both up to the stage....and thats when your brain goes into overdrive...."did he really call us up to the stage???" Paul's chief of security escorted us to the stage area with Paul's crew cheering us on. When we got to the stage Paul called us over and spoke to us at his mic. After introducing us he asked James what he played? He responded "the bass". Paul answered, "I'm playing bass, can you play guitar"? He told him "yes" and Brian gave him one of his Gibson's. I got to watch as my younger son and Paul McCartney played and sang "Get Back" on stage!!! There are times in your life as a parent that you feel proud of your children...this moment was definitely "off the charts!" Halfway through the song, Paul motions to me to join them. Unbelievable...I'm still walking on clouds!! The song ended and the three of us hugged as we thanked him and said our "goodbyes". I've said it before, Paul is the nicest, most sincere and down to earth celebrity on earth! Paul, if you're reading this, we can't thank you enough for your kindness and enabling us to actually live our dreams!!

Wow, that is fantastic, DrivinFan!! You both have a memory together to last a lifetime (well, BOTH lifetimes) Savor it. You choked me up regarding being proud of your son. Precious moment. And so sweet of Paul to let your son play with the band. Hopefully someone captured on video and it will be on the 'net. Congratulations!
