The 2012 and beyond Political Thread - Part 2

Radically Violent Nationalists and Radically Violent Religionists would be the most accurate and descriptive terms to use. It is very, very, very, very sad how a very, very, very, very, small percentage of people in all religions and nations can affect the conscience and lives of the vast majority of people on earth who are good inclined.

Earlier today our bats**t-crazy president threatened war with Mexico. Seriously: http://www.latimes.com/nation/nationnow/la-na-pol-trump-mexico-call-20170201-story.html Dear rest of the world: We're sorry. We screwed up. We really hope this clown doesn't blow up the world. Unfortunately, our constitution makes it difficult to get rid of a president, but some of us are really, really going to try.

My sis heard on the radio that Iran is preparing to nuke US--and Trump's only been in office 11 or 12 days
All hell bustin' loose already! (That sounds like a Trump tweet) Can only hope that radio station was exaggerating. She said it was a CBS station, though. Seems to me like even "reputable" radio stations exaggerate stuff. I'll look up something she heard on the radio in the newspapers, and it's toned way down. Or not even mentioned.

US suspends enforcement of travel ban... "As the White House worked to reinstate the ban, Trump mocked U.S. District Judge James Robart, appointed by President George W. Should this thread be re-named? re. 2012 ... Could that be too political? On another note, the main note; If you dare watch: MILO At University Of New Mexico. It's 1 hour, 35 minutes ... Regardless of what you believe, he's very entertaining ... Do I agree with him on all points - NO WAY!
Is that a bullet proof vest he's wearing??? -

The only contribution the Governator added to California was a new illegitimate son he had with the family maid behind Maria Shriver's back. All this scandal saw the light of day as Schwarzenegger was leaving office and being replaced by Jerry Brown.

"light-years ahead" is what I was implying of course. The people who should be running the country are too busy trying to save it from the one's who are.

Solving the refugee problem in a different way. A British young lady has voluntarily has decided to do so by joining Kurds to fight against terrorists (IS). http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-38928886 All-female fighters are apparently particularly feared by the jihadis, who believe it to be a disgrace to be killed by a woman in battle as it prohibits them from entering paradise. More power to this lady! For those who don't understand, she just wants to do what she can to make Syria more livable!

I'm the exact opposite. I say destroy whatever she's smoking. There's enough disinformation and misinformation out there from sober people.

Didn't he try to close a lot of state parks? I know maybe 5 things about California. One of them is that they have some exceptionally beautiful state and national parks.

In fairness to Arnold, that was in the midst of a horrible, recession-induced budget crisis circa 2010, and there were no good choices. But the parks were saved. Overall, he was okay on environmental issues -- vastly better than most Republicans these days.

Many low and moderate income workers don't have any retirement plan, and some states have tried to make it easier for them. Now some in Congress want to stop those states in order to protect Wall Street profits: http://greenlining.org/blog/2017/congress-attacks-low-income-workers/
