McDonald's to open Christmas day with no overtime for employees http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/339696
...McDonalds has been kind of the main role model for the companies for years, their business model has been the most influential. It's a McDonalized world these days. It's a much bigger thing than their burguer restaurants...
Not sure how the company is viewed in your country, but -- in America -- working at McDonald's means you're desperate and can't get better employment. I wouldn't even let my teenage child work at McDonald's.

McDonalds? well, like most of the companies I guess, the point of McDonalization is that pretty much most of the companies have become McDonald-like. McDonalds is on the league here, if ever, with Pizza Hut and all that "restaurants" that sent pizza to the client's home. I know the workers there are so frustrated that use to spit on the pizzas and all that... It fits with the McDonalds principles in which quality doesn't matter... Here getting ANY employment is very hard, so if you've been working at McDonalds for a long time it looks like you're some kind of elite or so... lol A "spitting on the menu" elite but seen as lucky.

"one of these days"... we're going to talk about McDonalds. Sure you may have heard about the "Globalization" of the economy. But the "McDonaldnization" of the economy is a better word for it, as I've read sometimes. McDonalds has been kind of the main role model for the companies for years, their business model has been the most influential. It's a McDonalized world these days. It's a much bigger thing than their burguer restaurants. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonaldization
So...are you OK with McDonald's employees working with no overtime...or are you _no_t OK with that?
Ok? well, sure they do worst things than that... It's plain to see I don't like McDonalds' ways much... but I don't find that important compared to other things they do... Anyway you could always get yourself holidays for Dec 24th if you worked there...

...and the stream of lies from the Romney klan -- er, clan -- continues. Mitt Romney ?had no desire to run,? son says: "Mitt Romney didn't want to be president, anyway. That's what Tagg Romney, Mitt's oldest son, told the Boston Globe for its big post-mortem on his father's failed presidential bid published on Sunday. ?He wanted to be president less than anyone I?ve met in my life," Tagg Romney told the paper. "He had no desire to ... run. If he could have found someone else to take his place ... he would have been ecstatic to step aside. "He is a very private person who loves his family deeply and wants to be with them," Tagg continued. "He has deep faith in God and he loves his country, but he doesn?t love the attention.?..." http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/mitt-romney-no-desire-president-tagg-says-191236665--election.html Seriously???? Then explain why he's been basically campaigning since '08! Willard Romney ran the most desperate campaign in the history of U.S. elections, and we're supposed to believe this malarkey from his corrupt son????
I think it would be a lovely thing if the whole Romney clan were to just go away for a LONG time. The sad thing is, Mitt's dad, George Romney, had some class and integrity. He ran for the Republican nomination in 1968 as an anti-Vietnam War candidate and got hammered by Richard Nixon. We all know how that turned out. And the lesson his son learned from that campaign was: Don't tell the truth -- you'll get hammered for it. Alas, you gotta be a more artful liar than Mitt to get away with it.

George Romney would not have been proud of the campaign that Willard Romney ran. At all.

the effect of all that is Spanish people searching for a job outside of Spain, emmigration. Quite a shock for a country that a few years ago was the second one receiving more immigration in the world (after the USA). Now, most of the job offers that we see here are for working outside of Spain.

proof released that the STATE department and RAEGAN were stupid (i.e not suzzing who they were dealing with) and that the current occupants are still as thick. Offical British civil servants reticence doesnt mean we dont care or take notice. basically as i said as a deputy shop steward in relpy that we should as a TU movement boycott the USA. That we had grounds to go to war with the USA over Grendra and that i as a British right winger ( but commie in the USA eyes) would agree too, the gobshites withdreth the motion, might have had something to do with that me mum crossed the picket lines in ulster UWC strike and i said i would deck anyone who tried to stop me. Four shop stewards were from ulster and the actual factory me mam worked. Thatcher made many mistakes but they were mostly to the weakness of her position as a woman.
