New Stage Design

I knew you would come up with something! That's nice, but I was actually talking about the floor of the stage. The overhead view showed water flowing from the back screen, enveloping all the instruments, covering the whole stage itself! You could swear there was several inches of water on there!
-
Here's another view:

Thanks, oobu! You can't see it too well, but at least you can see it some. Really looked 3 dimensional. When it first started seeping from the back of the stage, I almost thought maybe it was from all the rain we had the night before! There were other effects on the stage floor during the show, but they were one-dimensional, flat. This was the best! (Thanks for giving those of us in the "cheaper" seats a little bonus treat, Paul!)
-
That really does look cool. You would swear there was water running all over the stage behind the riser!
-
That is very cool! you can't see that at all from the floor seats because the platform is blocking it. Now the waterfall effect on the front of the platform makes more sense.
-
Yeah, I had no idea (from row D) that all that was going on! I was only gazing at Paul though!

Understandable!

Here's an off-the-floor view of the gap between the first rows and the stage: And of the platform in action:
-
I was on the piano side of the stage, 4 rows up in lower balcony. I did not see the effect of the water. When I saw a picture of it, I did feel like I missed something.
-
I like the rising stage, it was cool. Second night at Barclays I was row 10 on the floor, and didn't notice the gap from stage to row 1 being that much different (a few feet, really) than previous tours. But you know what I really hated? The robotic camera arms roaming over the sides of the stage. You can see them in the pictures above and they were really distracting for me (in F1) and often interfered with seeing Paul & other members of the band clearly. The only way to avoid them is to be in center sections only. The only time I didn't notice it was when the platform was up Anyone else noticed or bothered by them???
-
I know hate is a strong word... but, I still hate it- that mini stage --especially for 2 songs
-
Being up front for the first show in Brooklyn, we had no view of the "waterfall" effects on the main stage. For the second show, we were in the 100's section, and I was amazed at how real the water looked flowing all over the main stage floor. I'm really glad I got a chance to see what it looked like.

I'm in the first and probably second picture! Thanks for posting it.

You guys MUST watch this! The most amazing stage I've ever seen. Imagine if Paul did this! Everyone in the audience would have the best seat in the house before the end of the show: Justin Timberlake and his moving stage:

That would be very cool! Kinda like Pink getting shot out into the audience by her rubber band & landing on 'perches' through out the audience.

Saw Pink on her last tour and you're right it was great fun seeing her going round the room makes you wonder how far this tech can go before it starts interfering with the music,ok on some artists music is very secondary but not for decent artists.

I would have loved to have seen that. When everyone 1st started talking about something NEW for Paul...I thought he might do that. Would that be cool or what? LOL!
