The new stage for 'Out There' will feature: -- A platform taking Paul into the audience --New, modified stage design --New lighting and sound -- New visuals http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=86069&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=135 Also, there will be a rehearsal at the venue (Belo Horizonte) on May 3rd, and the new stage will feature a "special effect"...
If my memory is correct, thought he had a platform taking him into the audience during 1993 tour. Believe the whole band stood on it during some songs in acoustic set.

Yes, you're correct.

Could you imagine if the floor of the stage was all LED screen?

Glad to hear he is changing up things a bit I just hope he shakes up the set list, and no I am not one who does not want to hear any Beatles, I love them, but drop in some more wings and obscure Beatles. You are always gonna have at least 8 songs that will not change.
Would be nice if the new album was ready by tour and he played some of the new songs. Personally, I enjoy his tours much better when he has a new record out.
Agreed.

One wonders if Paul is adventurous enough to try this on stage: (skip ahead to 04:12'ish):

Good point. It's weird: I was AT the St. Louis show, and I didn't see him fall at all. I had to look for it on YouTube when I heard about it.

And Tina Turner did it again on her most recent tour...at age 70!

I didn't see him fall either! I just saw the recovery! Caught up in the moment I suppose!

Sorta like his Superbowl '05 set?

Didn't the entire US tour have something similiar?
-
Similar. The '05 stage was a clear floor, allowing for multi-color lights, etc. The Superbowl stage had live-action graphics, if I remember correctly. I loved it.

You're correct...that would be very cool but, how well can you see it from the floor? I feel like it would be best appreciated from a tier or on the tour DVD...
