You know you are addicted to the maccaboard when...
-
...you can't eat breakfast without checking what's new on the board ...it's the last thing on your mind before you sleep ...you are more often in the Macca's pub thread than in a real pub Come up with more examples!

Guilty.

When I get upset at not being able to get on the board love doris
-
...you have the compulsion to start a thread here on some recent major news before you tell your family/friends about it (I'm guilty of that!) ...you have checked the board more times than your own email inbox at any given time ...you begin to feel depressed/panicked/unusually distressed when the board is down and you can't think of anything else to do in the meantime These are just a few that came to mind (although as a mod I might be able to get away with some of these and not seem "addicted" per se) Very clever topic for a thread, I'm sure long-time members will have a lot of things to add.

..... you think you'll only be here a few minutes (and then a lot of time has gone by) ....

you apply to be an unpaid moderator..... seriously i can never understand it [moderator] would take ALL the fun out of it for me. although of course there would be more chance putting another pyrimid up in egypt than me ever being a mod. i would hate to do it..a bit like a referee or a traffic warden....but i suppose its good that some people do it,or there would be no fun for the rest of us

It has its ups-and-downs, but I find it rewarding... At any rate, I was probably borderline "addicted" (to the board) from the beginning!

I'm curious: Are moderators allowed to be critical of our Paulie?

To a point, everyone is. However, we usually tend to stay out of such discussions to focus on the actual task of reviewing the board, but that is not to say that we are not "allowed" to. For example, I have decided to take a more active role in discussions as of late, rather than merely observing and moderating (partly because things have been rather slow lately). Although I can't speak for the others specifically, you might notice that we tend to go through these kinds of cycles. Hope that answers your question!

I don't even know who the moderators are anymore.....so many have passed me by.....sorry Mr. Spock ops:

That's alright. When in doubt, there is always a complete list of the board-wide moderators at the top of each forum right under the title. Here's a link to the list: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/groupcp.php?g=25925
