The Donatella Versace biopic on "Lifetime"-- a bit disappointing despite the sumptuous, lavish sets, and being well-filmed, for a t.v. movie. Gina Gershon as Donatella displays no visually eloquent, expressive facial expressions, as if a victim of Botox, or simply a bad actress. Her face looks the same no matter what's going on. Her line recitations are also boringly monotone, flat. And the dialogue is too simplistic and one-dimensional. Wish they'd taken more care with the script as was done with the excellent stage settings and beautiful location shots of Italy and Miami. And gotten another actress to play Donatella.

Thanks Nancy! My sweetie and I are watching holiday movies on the telly. The Thanksgiving House was excellent!

I donno how many do a "binge watching" ..... or catching up on past seasons of a show .... sometimes I don't want to catch up or be even with the current viewing .... because then if I like a show ..... I have to wait until the next time it is on .... if I am way behind the series ..... I can watch 2 or sometimes 3 in a row .... or one or two shows each night .... since there are not too many shows that I watch as regular have to see shows .... I have watched some series shows that have been off the air for a short while .... it is like reading a book and wanting to know what happens next .... so I watch the next ..... and then it is like finishing a book .... thinking that was a good show and then missing it ..... getting to know the characters and the show and then wanting to see more and there is no more of it ..... There are times it seems like a movie rather than a television episode .... oh well ..... that is my general television thought of today

I've binge-watched Lost Girl on my DVR and on DVD. Also in the past I've rewatched the entire series of a favorite like Lost or Highlander.

Sad to discover that this is the final season for Drop Dead Diva. What a great show.
-
I saw the "The Social Network" for the first time - and on TV - last night. The ending is amusing.

Wenn Deramas is no-good in directing drama series. He should stick to where he is good at: comedy films. Ok, I feel better now!

I just got all the seasons of The X-Files plus the 2 movies on DVD. It was on a special Amazon sale for only $94 including tax (free shipping) I haven't watched any of the episodes since it went off the air in '02 so it will be great to revisit it from the beginning!

Who's watching Game Of Thrones' 4th season? What a shocker in last week's episode!

I caught up ..... and am watching the 4th season now .... I don't want to say anything because .... many times I find people at different seasons or behind an episode or 2 .... which would require a SPOILER ALERT MESSAGE here .... In the beginning of the series .... I didn't know if I was going to watch it or not .... so many new characters and story etc .... the next thing you know I am caught up and waiting for the next episode

I watched Fargo (new tv show on FX) last night. It's loosely based off the movie, but none of the same characters, from what I could tell. Didn't expect much, and never really cared for Billy Bob Thornton...but wow! It's gonna be a CRAZY show. In a good way.

I love it! I ended up buying seasons 1-3 on DVD! With season 1 (I believe) they give you a map of the country and list all the families and their members--I'd be lost without it!

I saw "The Passion Of The Christ" for the first time last night on TV. They showed some parts in black & white and they have probably cut some scenes but, still, it was too gory and the crucifixion is exaggerated, I think.

Looking forward to Signed, Sealed & Delivered series.

Because you wrote this ...... I watched it on demand and then watched a few or more of this show ..... just to try and discover something different .... Thanks Jonathan I probably would not have noticed the show .... unless it started to get some T.V. buzz going ....

I enjoy watching "Pawn Stars." The series depicts the staff's interactions with customers, who bring in a variety of artifacts to sell or pawn and who are shown haggling over the price and discussing its historical background, with narration provided by either the Harrisons or Chumlee.

Is anybody watching the new show "Penny Dreadful?" It is wild!!
