Watching "Finding Jesus" tonight at 8 central time on CNN. Love the scientific proof of Jesus and the missing books of the Bible. Will catch Downton Abbey later!
-
Secrets and Lies with Ryan Philippe premiered last night. Really good murder mystery.

Nancy R:
Anybody watching 12 Monkeys or Helix on SyFy?
I have watched 7 Monkeys so far I an watching the show on demand House of Cards - a new season (3) is on Netflix now .... I usually watch them and slightly binge watch .... I am trying to watch one at a time and wait .... slightly and watch again ..... we'll see how long that lasts I like that show
-
Just got the PBS app and found all these shows I can watch, I think commercial free, at my convenience!! Yay!
-
I saw the premiere of "Secrets and Lies" too, Nancy, and it drew me in, aroused curious mystification so it must be an effective t.v. thriller. Was impressed with Ryan Phillipe's acting, and Juliette Lewis as the frightening detective...actually the supporting actors did well too. This was filmed in Wilmington where I am presently and parts filmed in Charlotte. That's what made me want to give it a chance. Don't you think Ryan's wife is the possible killer or at least a red herring, certain things she did and how she seemed at times? Ryan's brother too, perhaps? Ryan is being made to look guilty, but if the killer runs to tell...how often does that happen, usually the killer runs away and pretends not to know a thing about it. Course the former scenario also occurs too.

I have already figured out who "accidently" killed the boy. Do you want me to tell you? I can PM you.
-
Thanks, but I have to think about your offer first, Nancy I'd sort of like to already know, but perhaps not...you sure figured it out fast, if correct in your surmise! The big sloppy looking guy isn't Ryan's character's brother, but his "best friend" who gets to live on the premises. I've wondered if he did it, and even wondered about "the uncle" who was shown very briefly. And the murdered boy's mother. They didn't say the child was sexually assaulted too, did they? I don't recall that being a revelation. Kaydee Strickland, Ben's wife, starred in "The Practice" which I saw a few times. "Secrets and Lies" is based on an Australian mini-series, but the American show's producers promise a lot more "secrets and lies" than the Oz version, with Ben's neighbors' dirty secrets and skeletons coming out and such. After they were so hasty to judge him and think he's a murderer. The local paper here has featured a few "insider" articles about the show.
-
No, the boy wasn't sexually assaulted. It was blunt force trauma to his head only.
-
Broadchurch season 2 is on now! Love David Tennant!
-
Spring finale of Switched At Birth on Tues. New Odd Couple is pretty good.
-
Yeah, I like the new Odd Couple too.
-
hates having satellite telly with American tv shows yo get into then mid season breaks with cliffhangers, lets go back to the 80's when we got the complete series as now I have forgotten how grimm, blacklist etc ended up before crimbo.
-
Have to catch up on Downton Abbey since I have been watching Finding Jesus on CNN. Found a new favorite channel American Heroes Channel: tonight is "Forbidden History!!!" On at 8pm cdt

I missed "Secrets and Lies" last Sunday, but the Wilmington paper printed a synopsis, it does so weekly because the show was mainly filmed here. I read an interesting (yet to me, unlikely) theory that Ben's little girl "Monkey" did it. A mere child. The thought had crossed my mind that perhaps her teen sister was the culprit. But why would either plant the murder weapon in their own father's tool box?? I look forward to seeing it this Sunday.

Nope, not the daughter(s)! I won't tell you who I'm sure did it, but I'd bet good money on it!

About "Downton Abbey" I saw on an entertainment telly show tonight that Kate Middleton is a huge fan, and wanted to visit the set. Of course she got an invite and stayed two hours touring every part of the sets and meeting the cast and crew, etc. They posed for a group photo with Kate. She looked quite thrilled. The Downton Abbey people looked thrilled too. I'm glad she was able to do something she wanted to and not just another meet and greet at some (often boring) official function on behalf of the Royal family. Thanks for the tip, Nancy R. I wonder if Cornell did it (just kidding)

Yeah, I can't stand that biatch! P.S. I saw the E.T. thing on Kate M. She's a real fangirl!

I enjoy watching the opening numbers in ASAP and SAS, especially when I'm alone. Sunday is the only day I watch TV. I'm glad they don't invite "meticulous" rock bands anymore. Their soundcheck consumes too much time. They don't like lip-synch. As a result, the hosts had to do all the talking and all the boring and irritating greetings.

The Good Witch started heating up last nite! Tivo'd Pirates of the Caribbean on Stranger Tides to watch later on.
-
Just watched HAWKING on PBS. It's about the life of Stephen Hawking and his theories. It was very enjoyable!! I found out he lives in Cambridge...
