I guess we will know when we see this on there screen that they commented http://classacts.diaryland.com/images/image03535.jpg For you too young to remember. This was the test pattern when a TV station went off the air.

the story is that Paul's staff was hacked during his divorce; one report I saw said they couldn't see how Paul couldn't have been (i.e. probably was) but i wouldnt put it past NOTW and News Corp/Murdoch... I do remember a story that said something about a phone call between Paul and Stella...

There was a list published recently (the guardian) that listed Ms. Mills as being contacted by Scotland Yard about the possibility of being hacked. No mention of Paul or his people. The Guardian has since removed the list for review.

This whole phone hacking scandal is just awful, and just when you think it couldn't get worse it turns out Murdoch has his tentacles in the British Government and Scotland Yard, and today the man who blew the whistle on News Of The World turned up a suicide. I hope Murdoch and his Fox Companies get totally ruined by this!

Murdoch is to testify in Parliament tomorrow. He should go to prison!
-
I have never liked the British Press. They are very bad.

The Coen brothers couldn't write this sh-it. This is some good sh-it!! It's like the best ever reality TV show. Just doesn't get better than this. Bonus was the Pie in face. Nice touch UK!! Seeing Murdoch go down in flames like this...it completes me.

I hope this is not true. I like Piers. I would never invade somebody's privacy like that. Never. Still, the quote seems a bit phony to me -- especially the part about singing "We Can Work It Out." C'mon. I call b.s.

I agree and would hope people here would give this aspect of the story to unfold before they pass judgement on Piers

The quote comes from an article that he wrote. Unlike most Brits (I think), I quite like Piers as well. But he was the editor of a tabloid newspaper for a long time, and a tabloid journalist long before that. Don`t pass judgement? Come on!

I should say that Morgan has changed his image a fair bit. Back when he edited the Mirror he was a weasely showbiz hack promoted seemingly beyond his station, launching a crusade against Blair's Iraq War more to boost newspaper sales than out of any conviction. No one took him seriously. Since then, and his sacking from the Mirror due to faked allied atrocity photos, he has put on weight and acquired gravitas, ironically only used now for crappy talent shows. He's actually taken seriously. But back at the Mirror, sure, he would have stooped pretty low if he could have.
