@admin 2012 was crap. They built the London Olympic Park on the site where I lived as a child. Pulled down my grandmother's house. It was at my grandma's house I saw The Beatles for the very first time, in 1963. So 2012 was sh!t This e mail is in response to admin asking about what we thought of 2012. Strange to ask that in 2023, but there you go.

Wandy, they were asking about 2012 on Dec. 31, 2012! The post from @admin was 10 years old!
This board has been around for about 20 years.
Sorry 2012 was $hit for you. In 2012 I went on my first Beatles cruise (1st cruise ever actually) and met Tony Bramwell, Laurence Juber, Tim Piper (John), Gregory Piper (George), John J. Hepburn (Paul) and a guy who played Ringo whose name escapes me. They were the tribute band and Tim did a solo John show too. Only about 100 of us out of thousands of passengers on the Oasis of the Seas (Royal Caribbean) had our own private parties and events. The tribute band did play for the entire ship in the big theater. -
@wandy @NJR @oobu24 @Fan4-45years @love2travel @Yankeefan2 @thefoolonthehill and other. Happy New Year to all late. Sorry about that. 🥳

Hi, Kay here
I'm sorry about your New Years. Mine whole holiday was pretty God-aweful. That pretty much summed up 2022 as well. How I had the strength to carry on? Music, reading,art. I'm hoping for some big and positive changes in 2013.
We have to live this life for ourselves, take care of ourselves, walk away from people and things that hurt us emotionally.
As for being alone? You are never alone. Each day you have an opportunity to meet and make a friend any time, any place. But yeah on the holidays it's bad when your own family doesn't even have you over for dinner.
Regardless, you can get through whatever is going on in your life. I don't know your story and you don't know mine but I do empathize with you. I swear sometimes I just walk around with a dark cloud over my head, wondering if I will ever see a ray of light! Lol
Listning to Paul's music and the Beatles has a way of soothing my soul.
I hope this year brings you happiness and better fortune and you find your path that leads to a better life. (I hope I do too) -
@kat65 That post from @admin was talking about 2012 going into 2013, but maybe you realized that. Sorry you had a bad 2022 - hope 2023 is much better for you!
You know, I don’t think @admin posts on here anymore. We have lost a lot of boardies since I first got on here in Mar. 2011 as Nancy R. Had to change to NJR profile when glitches caused me to not be able to post in new threads!
Some people were banned and some just left, never to return. It was pretty wild on here for awhile! -
@gypsygirl Couldn't get much worse.

@njr OK I'm embarrassed now. I'm still trying to figure this forum out. I guess I should look more closely at the dates or find stronger reading glasses!
Anyway, I'm no longer upset about 2022. I'm not going to have a great year -

Glad you’re feeling better, but I hope you meant to say “I’m going to have a great year!”
2023 will be less expensive for me, that’s for sure! (I went solo on a cruise in Mar/Apr for 7 nights - Flower Power/Beatles cruise - and went to Liverpool for Beatleweek with a friend for 7 nights, then we went to London for 5 nights) No vacations planned for 2023 - I promised my 92 year old mom I’d stay in town. She moved into a semi-assisted living facility in Sept. (3 meals + housekeeping and she does the rest like her laundry) She has mild dementia and I have to help get get AM/PM meds set up for the week on Saturday. That’s the only thing she has trouble with.
