That's too cute! Amazon echo is the name of the desktop audio question and answer computer component that is being advertised on tv. Am curious as to how accurate it is and how much information it has available. I remember seeing it advertised in the past now.
Here's a good family review... -
When I was in school, the teachers told us we had to learn math because we wouldn't have calculators with us everywhere we went. Then every phone came out with a calculator. Now you can have a machine in your house that tells you what 1+1 equals.
-
I think it's a great information almanac with a pleasant voice. No different than reading a book. It also gives you the weather and has several other functions if one researches it. I still believe that doing math on paper and in your head is essential. I used to amaze people at work by calculating numbers in my head faster than they could get a pen and paper or their calculators out.

Echo was impressive for the most part...I like the capability of turning lights on and off and perhaps the iron too. I'd like to see it with a thermostat like the Nest and also a security system of cameras that you could check at home, from your computer at work! Maybe even an alarm gadget in your car, that could tell you if your car was being towed or tampered with...and even a system to turn on your car before you get out of work, so it's warm in the winter and cool in the summer...when you finally get out out to the car! What the heck, how about something connected to my garden soaker hose, so I can water the garden on a hot day, when I'm not home! PS...something to close the windows at home, while at work, during the unexpected rain shower
-
If they come up with a way to keep the mosquitoes out, I'll be impressed.
-
Boston Dynamics Atlas (Terminator) Robot is running through the woods now. Maybe we could get him and Echo together??? Mosquitoes don't seem to be bothering him at all.
-
My sister was upset hearing talk about "robot assassins" on the radio (what the heck kinda stations does she listen to?), shaped like humans (not the drone type)--they've shown that in science fiction flicks for donkeys years haven't they? Killing people without feeling anything and little or no chance of being destroyed. Maybe the tin devils will rust out (nervous laugh). Oh no, reminds me we will have to hear a lot of boring Star Wars talk and read about it on the Net (I won't, my eyes will glide right over it all). New Star Wars flicks coming up.

If we introduce Atlas to Alexa... This could be the beginning of the end for we humans! Not!!! We're doing a good enough job of that on our own...

Robot Assassins sounds like an '80s band.

What a car!! I'm on my way over... Don't forget your Space Boots! That Interstellar Expresso sounds really good! This car drives super fast, I'll be there shortly! Wonder what kind of fuel this uses...

I don't want a flying car. This is how people drive on the ground:
-
I haven't heard those sound effects in ages L2T! Have to search some Jetson's cartoons now! YOW! Hailey!!! That may be why some people want flying cars!
-
^ I have the complete DVD of the series... Just sad that we don't live like that yet! I always wanted to Space hop on vacation!

This looks way cool! I don't know about the low landing on those front tires though... Looks like that could be a big jolt. It is so cool tho, wonder how difficult it is to fly?
