On some of the Early Beatle Concerts - you could hear that they tuned the guitars down a half step (then you can play the same chords ) * it doesn't work that way for the keyboards and such
Which is why I never watch their Ed Sullivan performances.

If Paul likes to do Beatles songs so be it. He and Ringo now have to carry the Beatles torch and they and we are not getting any younger and it may be the last time we hear them live or otherwise. May the both keep rocking for a long time. and I just waiting for a month to pass, and I will be ready to rock.

That makes sense. Still, it's easy for me to forget that Paul is 70. I look at him like he's -- oh -- about 48. Maybe my expectations are unrealistic, but Paul seems to defy the odds and the norm.
-
I wish I could agree but he seems so much older this last year or so, even his speaking voice sound very old. When he was 48 he actually looked and sounded very youthful, he also had grey hair, fancy that!
-
Barbra Streisand just turned 70?????? She sounds amazing! Barbra Streisand's homecoming concert in Brooklyn:
-
i expect he'll keep the Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End finale.... ... but just once, i'd love to see him come back solo with the acoustic guitar and gives us Her Majesty too.

What about Maxwell silver hammer?

What about Maxwell silver hammer?
As much as I love The Beatles...I think that may be "scraping the bottom of the barrel" so to speak...
-
I don't know about that...Hummmm

For the first time ever... I agree with my Buddy Wix here. I much rather hear Martha My Dear or For No One.

I agree with rather hearing other songs but I don't know if I would say Maxwell is the bottom of the barrell. Personally I would go for Rocky Racoon

I totally agree that it is not 'bottom of the barrel'. It is something that has not been performed 12 million times.

.....for good reason For me, it goes in that hokey category with Your Mother Should Know, Honey Pie, Martha My Dear and even Rocky Raccoon, of songs that probably wouldn't go over THAT well in an arena/ stadium.

I actually like "Maxwell's..." It's one of those songs that I loved when I was a wee little one, and I guess it's stuck with me, along with "Rocky..."

I'm not so sure about that. Its quirkiness is its x factor. Has a Barenaked Ladies vibe to it.

Don't read me wrong, I really love all those songs, and they are great fun on the piano at parties and stuff...but I think they would be more suited for his rarer, smaller, and intimate shows.
