Agreed, it is not great, but I don't think they can limit the VIP seats to the center sections because some people might not want to pay $1500 to be 10 rows back, even if it is center. So there would be less available.

Label the seating charts so we can make a decision on if the seats they are offering are where we want to sit and pay for.

I knew the exact row and seat number I was purchasing. No surprise tonight and no surprise when I did sound check in St. Louis. ETA: Was I ever wrong. Worst seat ever.
-
I noticed that the seating charts varied by venue. Some had a great interactive view where you could clearly see the seat number. Others have a tiny number scrawled on the edge of 1 side of the floor, so you don't know whether it goes 1-n from the right or left side.

Lincoln seating charts were not accurate. I even called the box office to decide on the ticket. I was told the wrong section and ended up about 10 seats past the stage on Rusty's side. Horrible seat. Then I got to put up with people trying to get me to move over so they could take a picture. I finally told security not to let anybody else do that and they did a great job. I did not find that security at Lincoln were the least bit rude to us at sound check. I'm guessing that varies by venue. Shelly was definitely in charge and ran it.

forget 64 knows where my seat was. It sucked.

LOL... I thought you knew where you were sitting? Your seat sounds like mine. (but thank God for 30x zoom lenses)

The venue had told me where my seat was. It wasn't there.

My seat was absolutely the best (well next to be front row/center!) However, the seating chart on TM and the way the venue was in reality were not the same and it was confusing. Even calls to the venue before/after ticket purchase were not helpful. I was lucky . . . 3rd row center

Just my $.02 on the VIP/soundcheck experience. As we suspected, the # of people that paid for Front Row or Hot Sound pkg in Lincoln was not large . . .maybe 50 people? I'm not good at numbers but there weren't very many. Students from UNL were brought in maybe to make the group look larger? I don't think we lacked in enthusiasm, tho, at least I tried to be the screamer as much as I could We were too far back . . .pictures didn't turn out very well even w/ 10x zoom. Paul did interact with us but it's hard when there are 30-40 rows of dark empty seats between the crowd and the stage. Shelly was great and, of course, the actual s/c was very cool! We had appetizers/drinks before s/c and then a full veggie meal afterwards. Not sure exactly how the bar worked. There was a sign indicating some liquor was $7 and some was $6. I ordered a chardonnay and it was free I experienced no rudeness from anyone associated w/ the experience . . .everyone was polite and helpful . . .from arena security folks to the employees of the company that take care of the VIP pkgs. In fact, I needed to go meet my husband on another level of the arena and a security person from the arena escorted me so I wouldn't get lost ...much appreciated as I'm not exactly a human GPS! My only teeny tiny complaint is that my well-loved "Band on the Run" album jacket is still not signed (and I didn't really expect it would be but you can't blame a chick for trying!)

These venues need to do something to show us our seats BEFORE we purchase them.

Yeah, unless you've been to the venue before, it could be hard to figure out. I was lucky last year in Memphis and was in 4th row, just to the left of center (nearer to Rusty) Now for Atlanta Oct. 15th, I will be 3rd row, just about in the center!

Yes, especially because I did call them before I made this large purchase. Shelly said the sound check seats are that far back because sound is being tested and that is where it is the best. Not sure I believe that. I am just glad that concert seats were not on a platform by the sound board. That is what happened to our group at the LIPA sound check. I would rather have had the seat I did last night than to have been there again. Glad I went inside to my seat so I could get over the pouting before the concert began.

That's where the sound is the best...lol. Well, I'll take my chances on how it sounds & move me a bit forward please.

Exactly. That is what I thought when Shelly said that.

Gosh! Now I am a little nervous that our seats for Nashville aren't gonna be where I think they are. We've got section 2 seats 7 and 8... The map on ticket master says it's in the center of row 3. I hope it's accurate. Do you just know any other way to tell?

According to the seating plan for Nashville, seats # 7 and 8 are pretty much in the center of Section 2, for every row. Row 3 would give you excellent seats!

Maybe the sound of no people yelling is best for Paul if SC fans are kept back? Maybe some rowdy folks at an earlier SC got too distracting?

I agree 100%.
