About $1,300 in Canada, thanks to the conversion rate for us Americans.

I didn't think Wix was in Canada.

If you can do VIP with the soundcheck...DO IT. You'll never regret it! I prefer Hot Sound over Front Row because I like being in the center. But, if you can't...I would recommend looking up the regular presale and gold package simultaneously when tickets go on sale. I've gotten better seats for $250 with the regular presale than they offer with the gold ticket. It all depends on the venue and which seats they decide to allocate for each.
Good idea, I didn't think to run two pages at once. Thanks!
You're welcome! I just like to know my options. If I pull up a GREAT seat for $250...it's a lot harder to justify spending $1500 for soundcheck Buuuut, if the presale selection is crappy, it's nice to already have great VIP seats in the cart ready to check out. But, I still say if it's within your means to do VIP, go for it and don't look back!
Definitely. I want to have alllll bases covered (pun very much intended) for this National's Park gig. No travel expenses to worry about, so we're going big!
Wix, I was in the same boat as you are now. I did the hot sound package in November when Macca came to my hometown in Edmonton. I figured no travel expenses so if I'm ever going to do a soundcheck now is the time and boy was I glad that I did. The whole experience was incredible. Yes you sit about 25 rows back during the soundcheck, but that didn't bother me one bit. To hear rare songs performed live that the majority won't here is a treat in itself. Plus it has an intimate feeling to it because your in a big arena and there are only about 130 of you and you're getting a private concert, it's like my buddy that I was with said, "it feels like we are in Macca's garage listening to our own private concert". I would say go if you can do it, because these opportunities will be few and far between pretty soon. I don't think that I will be able to ever afford a soundcheck again, but if I can I'll be all over it!! The row 3 seats for the concert itself were pretty awesome as well!!

Thanks for such an epic response! We're taking a lot into consideration right now.

My first year with a Hot Sound package. I have even made a large banner to show Paul during the concert. Hopefully he will be amused and will call me onstage!

You deserve it man! You do wonders for the fans down your way on this board!

I've finally paid off St. Louis and now temptation is right in front of my face again.

Thank you! I've got a feeling deep inside, oh yeah!

My thoughts are similar to Wix. If I add up what I paid for gas, food and lodging for St. Louis and add that to the cost of a ticket, I spent nearly the cost of admission for the package that includes the sound check. Since I don't have to pay for gas and lodging in Tulsa, it's very tempting.

It's a once in a lifetime experience for some.

Wix...if the cost of a soundcheck package is within your means, you should go for it. Why look back in a couple of years and say..."I should have..." I've been lucky enough to have gone to several. For any McCartney fan it is a dream come true. I like to describe it as an additional "personal" performance as there are only 100 or so fans attending. As you know you'll hear many songs that will not be played that evening. The only down side, if there is one, is that after attending one, you may be "hooked". IMO, it was really worth it!
-
If you have the extra money to spend, I'd say go for it! I've done it twice, and I've never regretted it. Even when my credit card bill arrives at the end of the month
-
For me I'd say 'GO FOR IT' I been to several SC's too & it was a great experience every time... side note: sometimes it's the only way to get a great seat.. cos pre-sales kinda suck... and at times the fans get locked out

It's just like batting practice at a baseball game.

Most likely for me it was a once in a lifetime experience.

That is my problem. No other concert will compare. However, I simply cannot afford to do it six months after the last time.

Oh yes. After this experience i will want it again and again and again.. But i must do it. Will cost the same like a one week Holiday, but paul won't become younger.
