I got VIP for both Orlando and Seattle (YEAH YEAH I DON'T CARE). I'm in like row 14 for Orlando and ROW 8 IN SEATTLE!!!! I almost sprung for soundcheck in Orlando... but $1500 credit charge vs. $650 and my practical side won.
you bought vip and are in row 14? where´s the advantage then? row 14 is not too hard to get in the regular sale. :
I think that's the row, I don't know. The Amway does letters and not numbers. But it's such a small venue that there may be a different setup.

The seating chart on Ticketmaster now is interactive (you can choose exactly what seat you want), so now you can see how many seats there are in a row and how many rows there are in each section.

I wish they all were like that.

Me too! I'd love to figure out exactly where my seat will be for DC. Actually, what would be totally awesome is if you could see your view from your seat, so we'd know exactly how well we'll see Paul and the rest of his band before we buy the tickets.

Many venues have something like that at their web site. I don't know if any ballparks do, though.

Yeah, I know Nationals Park has it for the seats in the stands, but not for the floor seats (which is understandable, since no one sits on the field during a game! )

I have a question regarding the Gold VIP tickets. Since Memphis is my hometown, and this will probably be the last time he plays here, I got Cindy and me these tickest. Question is what exactly is the exclusive merchandise? Is it a personalized City tee of the Memphis event. Second question is what time do doors open for VIP Gold seats? I am planning a preconcert get together at a local club in town. Once I hear back from my band friend that the club is booked, I will need a definite time that doors open. Am guessing the same time that regular admission? Thanks kiddies! I cannot tell you how happy all of us Macca fans are in Memphis!!!

The exclusive merch is always something that they do not sell to concertgoers, and it's usually some sort of nice bag - here is what I got when I had Gold VIP on the Up and Coming tour: admission time is the same as a regular ticket, since there's no receiption or anything that comes with a Gold VIP.

We got a real nice backpack last year. (Not that it would ever get used)
-
Looks pretty sweet. Fletch, I assume that unless you are doing soundcheck you just enter with the rest of the folks. Here is my question: Are you allowed leave and re-enter the venue after soundcheck? My impression is no.

I'm pretty sure that's not allowed.

WixRocks!:
Okay, grandmom was not so successful today. She was having internet difficulties...don't know if it was her or the computer but I got home... AND SCORED TENTH ROW TIX!!! I couldn't get anything to come up for soundcheck. Found that bizarre, but maybe they're already gone? The fanclub presale gave me nothing. So I went directly to National's Park website, went for the gold tickets (since soundcheck came back negative) and got right hrough! Section 5 Row 10 Seats 17 & 18...who's gonna be nearby? I'll be right in front of Wix!!! Maybe he'll finally see my "Wix Rocks!" sign! Oh yeah and...I'LL BE TEN ROWS FROM PAUL!

Nancy- I'm not going to Memphis! I'm going to DC!!!

So what can you do in that time and how long is it before you get to go to your seats? Can you purchase merch before the crowds come in?
-
After SC, you go back and enjoy dinner or appetizers and drinks. After dinner you can head to your seats. Sometimes the merchandise is mailed to you, but in St Louis, we got it before the concert. We usually have our own booth to buy things, but not in St Louis-that was a strange SC, very dull and boring compared to all the others I have been to.

That is when you will be served your meal & you can purchase items before the hordes of people get to the stands. We didn't really have that much time but I suppose it depends if Paul is on time for soundcheck.

He's NEVER on time for SC.

Which was so disappointing for my one and only soundcheck and then hearing at the meal what they are usually like.
