Ticket sold. Thanks!

Brian favorited my tweet about the metro rail shutting down at midnight. So, hopefully Paul can start no later than 8:30 p.m.

I'm going to both shows, and will be in second row center for each of them! I'm so excited, and this is definitely the closest I'll be to Paul so far. I got the ticket for the first night in July, I hadn't been able to afford them back in April especially since I was going for a close seat. I got the ticket for the second show last week. Unfortunately I'm not going to soundcheck as these were third-party tickets and not part of VIP packages, but hopefully I'll still be able to do soundcheck someday. I'm still very happy about being so close, so I don't feel like I'm missing out per se. I'm a bit worried about metro, but wonder if there are enough people they'll be forced to just stay open later, lol. I can still remember the sea of people lined up for the metro back in 2013. I suppose I should plan to take an Uber if I miss the last train, but I absolutely refuse to leave the show early!

This will be much more controlled. The station at Gallery Place is much safer and the flow out of Verizon Center is also better organized. Nationals Park was a complete free for all. We had a near death experience entering the Navy Yard metro station. It was unbelievable. Additionally, Verizon Center holds about a third of the people that Nationals Park held so it quite simply won't be as many folks heading for the same destination.

That's good to know-I've never been to Verizon Center so didn't know what to expect. That's horrible about your experience, yikes! After seeing how many people there were, I ended up just walking to the Eastern Market station instead, since I figured I'd be waiting a long time to even get inside the Navy Yard station.

I left Nationals Park in 2013 before the show ended to avoid a horrible metro mess. Way too large a venue! It was awful waiting to get in the stadium with people already drunk from the tailgate that was held.
-
Nationals Park was on a Friday night. These shows are today and tomorrow so there is quite a nice difference. In retrospect, I am glad now that I left my seat early to avoid the metro mess.

Leaving for the airport. Anybody getting together before either nights shows? Hope to see some of you there.

According to metro trip planner the last train headed to Greenbelt (Northern end of the line) leaves at 12:16AM. I'd imagine other lines taper off around there too. My girlfriend and I will be in Section 111 Row K with our matching 2015 Out There shirts...and of couse, Fans on The Run buttons! WOOOOOO!!!!!

Dia--Metro should leave you standing on the platform. Shut out of the station would be more likely. But if the show ends at the usual 1130pm, it should not be a problem as the Verizon Center is right on top of the Gallery Place Metro Station. Just spotted three tix open up in the front, center floor section (section 2) so called Ticketmaster and they upgraded our tix from section 4 on the floor. Woohoo! I'm really short, so anything closer is better. And I was a little worried that people further back might want to sit down during the show. Which I never want to do--but I also do not want to disrupt the view of someone who might want or need to sit. With luck the new seats will solve this worry. We're probably just going to grab some dinner in the Verizon neighborhood and then get to the venue in good time to clear security. Look for us in vintage 1990 tour tee and a St. Peter's in Woolton tee. Looking forward to another great show!

St. Peter's in Woolton t-shirt.....how cool

Brian tweeted is D.C. ready to rumble tonight and tomorrow

The tension is building! I'll be heading out in the next few hours. I made two signs, cut the posterboard down from its full size because I do not want to block people's view and I'm pretty close to the stage anyway. One is asking Paul to sign my vintage Wings tee and to hug me, the other is a smaller "NA" sign for Hey Jude
