I saw him 4 yrs ago too in St. Louis and 50 yrs ago in 66. I'm thinking they are having it at the stadium because they played at Busch Stadium 50 yrs ago even though it's a new stadium. Anyway hope I can get tickets to this.
Paul played Busch Stadium in 1993.
I know I was there in 93 but it was 50 yrs ago when the Beatles played there and news people keep making a big deal about it, which I guess it is

Hi, If anyone has some recent experience getting tickets to see Paul, it would be great if you could help me with the following questions: 1. What's the best way to get tickets: fan pre-sale or American Express pre-sale? 2. According to a couple of news articles, the most expensive (non-VIP) tickets will be around $250. What seats should I expect to get for this price? Is it possible to get floor seating without VIP packages? 3. Will PM.com or TicketMaster release the official prices before the tickets go on sale? Thank you! Rodrigo
I can partially answer #2 VIP seats (above $250) are divided up into tiers and they roughly take up rows 1-15 (sometimes more and sometimes less - depends on the city) in the center sections. Usually at stadiums there's $250 and then slightly cheaper ($175-ish) tickets on the field. So in the image blue was $250, yellow a little cheaper. Since you have more seats per row then at indoor arenas, you would potentially get $250 tickets for 4th or 5th row on the outside edge of the sections immediately left and right of center. At the risk of pissing off some Cardinal fans (Go Cubbies!) - this image is from the McCartney show at Wrigley field. Hope that makes sense and/or is helpful. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/IyWYUn-FF9g/maxresdefault.jpg

Hi Cried, my wife and I did Gold VIP for his show here in Memphis back in 2013. We ended up on the 7th row dead center. I am doing the same for Little Rock. For the Memphis show, I paid $650 each. Little Rock is $700 each. Well worth it as you have a great seat.

I'm so excited!!! Anyone done a VIP package? I've never done one, even though I've seen Paul a few times already. I'm wondering if I should go for VIP this round...
-
If you want to do a VIP package, I would be cautious on choosing a stadium concert. A friend of mine did a front row package for Wrigley Field a few years ago and she was so far to the left (in front of the big screens), she couldn't even see Paul very well. It was devastating!! Front row packages are only for the sides, which may be okay for an indoor arena, but not a stadium. I did a sound check package in Memphis (3rd row center) about 3 years ago and it was an amazing experience!!!!!! The sound check was just as special as I dreamed it would be....no regrets!!!!! It was like 2 concerts in one night!! Just wish I could afford to do it again!!!!!

Thanks for the help crazy4beatles! This is the seating chart: http://m.mlb.com/cardinals/tickets/info/mccartney#vip-packages What would you say would be the difference int terms of seating between the $250 ticket, the Silver package ($475), and the Gold Package ($700)? I don't really care for the merchandise, I'm just concerned about the location each price could get me. In particular, I have the following concern: The Gold Package says it comes with a Price Level 1 ticket. Does this mean that it is possible that someone who buys a $250 ticket could end up in a better or comparable seat as someone who buys a Gold Package? Thanks again! Rodrigo

That shouldn't be the case. Gold seats will be the better seats. They start at row 7, I believe. Not sure how far they go back, because that's usually my limit. Maybe row 10 or so? Then, it will be the silver seats for a handful of rows, then the $250 level seats behind the silver. Someone may be technically closer to the stage with a $250 seat, but it would be far off to the right or left of the stage vs. center.

I thought silver package was price level 2 seats. Meaning they are having price level 1 which is the $250 tickets. From what I've seen in the past gold is the best seats besides soundcheck seats, then it goes to $250 level seating. Then sometime about 2 weeks before show all unsold hold and soundcheck tix go on sale at price level 1 prices $250. So it is possible for you to buy a $500 ticket and be sitting next to someone who paid $250. It's also possible however to spend $600 in a hold ticket and be sitting next to people who paid 1000's on a ticketbroker site

I guess. Except it isn't the first time Paul has played there since the Beatles did. But you know the press!

That's what I understood as well. The Gold Package says Price Level 1 and the Silver Package says Price Level 2. And in the standard tickets section it says P1-$252.50 (green) and P2-$167.50 (purple). I agree that it makes sense that getting a Silver Package should get you a better seat than getting a $252.50 ticket. But I find the information provided confusing. Rodrigo

That would be unusual, they should be available tomorrow . Make sure you use the links from this website, tho, to be sure. The mods will post the link to the fan presale in a thread here on the board. Good luck!

Almost presale time...I'm not quite as anxious as I have been for other shows, since I'm looking for three seats anywhere in the stands and not floor seating. So excited...I can't wait to have our tickets bought! It makes it that much more real that Paul's coming back!
-
Well, that was the easiest presale ever...three tickets in stands Section 135, Row 16 are mine! YESSSS!!! Time to relax and get REALLY EXCITED!!!

MEET ME IN ST. LOUIS!! I'm in!! Where's the pre-party gonna be at?!

Me too! It was REALLY easy! Mind you I was only after one ticket. I must have got lucky, because I opened another browser while I had a good seat on hold and all the best seats had gone within a minute or so. Currently listening to 'Good Evening NYC' and getting in the zone!

I got 2 row 8 in the field. Hope those are good seats. $250 a piece is a lot of money for me.

VIP tickets are on sale now on cardinals.com

Got A4 row 13 for $700. I was expecting to get closer to the stage for $700. But I hope they're good seats.
