Hope of Deliverance is a very good choice. I hope Paul will deliver

Mark Knopfler will be at the Ziggo Dome on June 06, so maybe he can stick around for another day and join Paul for a song or two in the encore?
Yes, Mark's next show is in Norway on the 8th so there's a chance. I'll be at Mark's show tomorrow night before seeing Paul on Sunday so I'm hoping that Paul heads to Amsterdam early and also appears with Mark tomorrow night too!
When I saw The Rolling Stones in Berlin the last year, Aerosmith played Berlin the day before. I really hoped they would be guests on one song. I even saw Joe Perry on stage before the show started, but no gusest appearance during the show.

They are absolutely desperate to fill the second added date, the one which got added due to "overwhelming demand". Now all students at the Amsterdam Conservatorium got a free ticket
They gave away 75 tickets, all gone now. Seems more like a nice gesture to music students rather than an attempt to fill the venue.
The competitions and freebies for the second gig are unheard of, on top of the hundreds of standing tickets through the "2 for 1" Ziggo deal, something they normally only do for young acts who struggles with their club gigs. The freebies like the Conservatorium ones, all were seated tickets for sections from which about half a month ago not even half was sold, like 206 and 210. Like said, many friends and acquaintances who never would go to a McCartney gig all going to be there now, it's almost like Pandora's box, people even being lured with the soundcheck, everything to fill the seats. Hell, they closed the sales for the not yet fully sold out first gig in a desperate attempt to get people to start buying tickets for the second gig. On the local eBay tickets are going for as low as 50 bucks now.

Hi! Is anyone planning to queue to get down to the front? If so is there only one entrance? Also what time are people planning to get there if so? Ta! Ellie x

I'll be at Knopfler's concert tomorrow as well. Should be fun, but I don't expect to see Paul there. I wish!

I'm not sure why you're making such a big deal out of this. Every band, including U2 and the Stones, does things like this for various shows. Some sell out. Some don't. I remember all the stories flying last year about the Stones first show and how they were giving away tickets because fans were balking at the prices. So it's not unheard of, at all. And Paul has always done such things going back decades, when sales for particular shows were slow. That said, the promoter dropped the ball in rushing the second show.

I'm not making a big deal out of this, just stating the facts about how disastrous the ticket sales for night 2 are. For comparison: U2 does 4 times this venue later this year, all sold out in 5 minutes. The Stones did Pinkpop last year (80,000 capacity), whole festival sold out within minutes, which never happened before, with people even buying weekend tickets just to go one day for the Stones. A few competitions out of loyalty, certainly no section go veaways. For McCartney they had to give full sections away to business associates and schools and had to put a 50% discount on tickets to fill the standing arena. Just the facts. You could even see on the Ticketmaster site that truly thousands of tickets still where available before all these measures. Absolutely unheard of. I don't care either way, if anything I'm glad they highly overestimated how many people are able to spend so much money on a a night out from which it's known it's largely the same and even more expensive than just 2,5 and 5,5 years ago,, and the hardcore fans get to see him twice, plus many of my friends now finally get to see in real life what I'm so excited about for years, because we all know he won't come back any time soon. Also, finally some promotion is starting, item about the shows on one of the biggest late night TV shows over here tonight.

Can't wait for the gig, it will be me first PMC concert

Marseille is over, can't believe we're up next now!

There was an interview with Paul on the Dutch radio station Radio.2 in which Paul said that they don't play any songs that they didn't do in the rehearsals for this leg of his Out There tour. I consider your plea for Big Barn Bed has no chance.

Point is though, he plays a version of the song regularly during soundcheck on the ukelele. Just as how 'Ram On' started.

I'm at the airport waiting for my flight to Amsterdam. Apparently the weather is 16°C, which is quite pleasant. Can't wait for the shows!

. IMO there is 50:50 chance. In Vienna 2013 were only one or two persons who asked with loud voice for "Ram On". We had luck and McCartney played it. On the other side he performed it during the soundcheck before the show... Does someone knows when Big Barn Bed was soundchecked the last time? In the case of Hope of Deliverance it was at least in Birmingham and Seoul played during soundcheck. 32 degrees yesterday, that's our summer done! Hahaha. Back to more sufferable temperatures now, it's pretty decent outside. Dare I say, perfect pre-concert weather...

But aren't rehearsals and soundchecks, theoretically, two different things? Granted, it's a stretch, but we don't know that "Big Barn Bed" wasn't woodshed'ed in a private rehearsal or two. "Ram On" has become a recurring exception, which has unpredictably appeared in rehearsals, soundchecks and concert performances -- and it's worth noting that "On My Way To Work" and "One After 909" were impulsive additions to the main set in the past. Incidentally, I remember McCartney emphasizing once, back in the days with Robbie, Hamish and Whitten, that soundcheck songs serve the purpose of avoiding redundancy: "No, we've already played THAT song today" -- a good rule, but I've noticed that "Lady Madonna" seems to be a perennial staple of both soundchecks and official performances of any given tour.

I'm beginning to feel slightly cheated, having paid full price for my regular tickets for the two shows. Anyway, I'll have to queue for a place close to the stage. I plan to be there at around 3 pm - and hopefully, there will be some people so we can preserve each other's places in the queue when we have to go use the bathroom while waiting. Do you guys think this is too early? Or not early enough?

This would be so awesome! I had second row to Mark and Bob Dylan a couple years ago, I just love his style. Fingers crossed for this idea!

I'm also going to be there at around 3 pm, I think it will be enough to be among the first ones in the que. Hopefully not too many have bought early entrance!

I'm sitting somewhere in the Ziggo Dome. Definitely not in front so Paul won't see my banner anyway
