And I'm sure that if Nancy's dad was having so much fun with it during the song, that he talked about it with Paul when he saw him after the show...
To paulmccartneyfan1: Now I understand.

AMAZING! I'm so excited just hearing about it...I'm sure you're nearly in shock! And I'm sure that if Nancy's dad was having so much fun with it during the song, that he talked about it with Paul when he saw him after the show...
I hope so!!! I really do hope so!! He was so awesome!! He was totally into the show!! I'm so glad he's not like stuck up or anything like that because his daughter is marrying Paul!! But oh man if he told Paul that would mean the world to me. He also read my moms sign that read "Fans On The Run Cali to NY." It would be cool if he also told him we came from Cali to see him!! I can just imagine!!

I was there last night and am still reliving the night. Some of the more wonderful things include: 1. Paul, of course! He had such energy and presence as always. I'm sure he spoke from experience when he wrote about living life with a sense of childlike wonder. 2. 50,000 people singing along with Paul. So much collective emotion is deeply moving. 3. One sign read, "Hey Paul, I'm Jude." To which Paul replied, "hey, Jude!" 4. The way the crowd repurposed the Yankees "let's go Yankees" cheer to "Paul McCartney" in the same rhythm. Whatever one's opinion of the Yankees might be, that was a perfect tribute to Paul in that venue. 5. The guy doing the closed captioning (not part of Paul's set and a little odd for a rock concert!) had trouble following much of the show, but hit his stride when captioning "na na na na na na na!" 6. The way my dad put his arms around my brother and me during the entirety of let it be. Possibly the most important moment of my night. We were only one of many who were drawn closer to one another through the experience of Paul's music. While I understand why people have complaints about the set list, it does not bother me in the least. I've seen him seven times at this point and I hope to see him many many more.
Hey Oohyou, I'm Jude!! That was my sign at the show on Friday! That Was Me (no pun) lol that was so overwhelming for me! I still can't believe he did that!!
FYI - The "Paul McCartney" chant was probably like the roll call the bleacher "bums" do at every Yankee game in the first inning. Fans chant the players name until he acknowleges their chant (tips cap) and then go to next player until everyone on the field has been "called".
-
He did "The Night Before"? Awesome.
-
yes he did both nights.
-
I been to every tour in the US since 1989. I was happy to see the set list change a little. Juniors Farm..... Nice edition, would have like third verse The Night Before ........Excellent The Abby Road medley returns................ WOW However, sound in the upper deck sucked. Paul's vocals buried in mix and some time in audible PS Please no more Let Me Roll It

Hey Rick...as always...GREAT JOB!! Thanks for sharing.
-
Hi Rick great shots!!

jackpearson:
at the end of the show, did he say "See you next time"? I'm always afraid he won't say that.
My children always wait for this moment at the end of Paul's concerts as well - they have always believed that when Paul says, "See you next time" they will indeed see him again the "next time." Yes, Paul did indeed reassure the audience with his famous last words of the evening, "See you next time!" If interested, he also reassured the audience at the end of the concert on the 16th as well.

Has anyone who was at the Yankee Stadium shows and bought the VIP packages received their "exclusive merchandise" and laminate yet? Week after the show and nothing has arrived here yet...

Attended both shows, one with 18 year old veteran Macca showgoer, other one with 9 year first timer. The 9 year old got some high 5's for knowing all the words. He wanted more Wings! Of course, the 2nd night was the first time I brought a camera, the 11th Paul concert I attended. So that was the night they hassled us about taking pictures. Spent the whole night being paranoid about doing what everyone else was doing both nights. What surprised me this time around? Besides "The Night Before"? The show starting before dark! Another funny moment: Leaving the second night, hearing the bootleg T shirt seller complain "I didn't sell (expletive) last night".
