swe are lucky he is still on the road doing it
I wonder if he's going to announce that he'll stop touring soon? People are going to be so upset. Maybe he'll do it and then do a million comeback tours like everyone else.

Morning all! Well I've got to say, they setlist was pretty disappointing, but the Abbey Road medley did go some way to redeeming that. I for one LOVED Sgt Pepper as a closer, and I do feel kind of sad now it's gone cos it worked well...but the Abbey Road medley did work pretty fantastically too

I have been up all night reading posts and watching the video's and I still have to say that I am disappointed. yes the ending is different but not that much. other than that same old same old...I hate it but it is true.

The set list was more than pretty disappointing. I think someone said earlier if the tour had kept the same name then no probs, but this is the same old thing. At least mix up the order, something. Obviously delighted with the medley and Night Before and Juniors Farm and I will. But come on Paul! I am sure it was a great show though, it always is.

I don't get what you're complaining about? You wanted to hear some obscure songs that aren't "mainstream" ? How could you be disappointed after seeing Paul live??!!

We have been had by a marketing ploy by the promoters who probably said hey we know there are many repeat concert goers and we need to change the name so it keeps them interested. I mean why did they bother to change the name of the tour? I would have liked to see more changes. I will still enjoy the three shows I am going to see but I will likely be seeing the last three concerts of his ever. Granted I have seen him 10 times but this is still upsetting. I think some of it is just a product of touring the way he does now with a short break in between in other words I think they the band and him are being lazy to point. I love the man and always will but give me a break, I understand that he has to do certain songs but not some that he has worn out over the past couple tours. since the first time I saw him in 02' I think there is 4 songs on this set list I have not ever seen.
I want to follow up with some of my disappointment. I am taking my sister-in-law who saw him once with us in 05' For her there will be 16 different songs, for me 3 (Iwas wrong above). I have seen him 10 times she once. who pays Paul more money? I mean she will be happy and I will be ehh! the real point to me is out of those 16 songs for her she will not know 5 of them. He can find a more happy medium ground for fans who follow him consistently.
I'm sorry to hear that It will be my first concert so it's all new to me.
Oh don't be sorry because if this is your first show you are in for one hell of a concert, I am still happy to be able to go see him again for three times on this tour but i want to be able to see as many of his songs as possible and I am no spring chicken much less him, you will have a great time. I will I know.

I am not talking about obscure although I would like those too..but this man has hundreds of songs(700-800) and with out going in to a lot of details I just wish he would do some that he has never done at least when I have been there and some I know it is never. But hey like I said I would never want him to not do about 8 songs that are classics, but there is many more classics after that left to do. I know I should not complain but hey I pay my money and then some.

Golden Slumbers
What a great setlist (although I do feel that he could have taken a few songs out). And what an amazing performance of Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End that was; I have been waiting for that one for a long time.

I guess I can understand where you're coming from. The tickets are very expensive Speaking of, you can come up to Montreal and buy the extra pair I have - maybe he'll play one of those obscure songs!!

I am really crossing my fingers that he does that medley in Montreal! You guys are so lucky!

Good morning all! I gave out about midway through the set lists post last night. Just some thoughts... Yes, a new tour name does make one expect a new opening number, especially since the Up and Coming technically ended with Hello, Goodbye as the opener. After reading about the closing with the Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End, I will take that any day over a completely new opening number. I did the 1989-90 tour and it doesn't get any better than that for wrapping things up. Plus, he is taking the 4H show on the road beyond Vegas by leaving i n Junior's Farm, love it. Final thought--he is playing in baseball stadiums and anyone who follows baseball knows how important it is to have a good closing pitcher in all games. None better than the Abbey Road medley. See ya in Cinci!

I just think some of you had some slightly unrealstic expectations, and you were setting yourselves up to be disappointed. That reached a peak when a couple of you thought there was some significance when he mentioned he was in "London Town" for his birthday greeting to Ringo! It is a different set-list. A diiferent set-list does not been a set list of songs he`s never played live before. He`s just not had time to rehearse loads of new songs.

Thanks a lot - I was wondering if he had given it the 'full band treatment' this time. He essentially did the same thing with Every Night singing it completely solo in 2002 but giving it the full band treatment last year...He sounds good in the vidoes I've seen so far

That's true...I participated in that discussion mentioning that there was no way he was going to play a song from the London Town album (maybe if he's still doing these little tours when London Town has its 'Archive' release - and even then it's a long shot)
