After getting locked out of the fan pre-sale, which didn't ever come up with a ticket for me ( ) and getting no tickets showing up from 10:00 to 10:45 ( ), I FINALLY, at 10:50, got a ticket that popped up--section 108, row 9. Not a great seat, but I'll be in the venue, at least!
-
Dominic, I think the problem is because you're trying to buy one of the VIP packages. Have you tried a non-VIP (not Gold Seat etc, just Full Price ticket)?
-
Seats still available! I just pulled up section 9 seats (better than the ones I bought this a.m. ), and there's a little note saying "not many tickets left!" on the Ticketmaster site, so get on it, folks!
-
I had an interesting experience during the pre-sale. I could not get two seats together so I wound up purchasing two tickets in adjacent sections. Out of curiosity, I went back in to see what seats were available and was able to purchase a single ticket that was right next to one of the single seats I had just bought. In the end I am happy to have two seats together, but why did they not come up when I was trying to purchase two tickets? If anybody is interested in a single ticket in Section 15, please let me know. Only looking to get what I paid for it and I will be sitting across the aisle from you in Section 13!
-
Grabbed a pair of tickets in section 4through TM this afternoon! Was really hoping for floor seats to pop up, but it seems that those were reserved for the VIP packages

After seeing Mull of Kintyre performed in Toronto in 2010, I'd love to see him perform the song in Brooklyn with a group of pipes and fifes from the NYPD and FDNY.

I'll be driving up - do any of the hotels in Manhattan or Brooklyn have parking?
Most (in Manhattan anyway) do have parking facilities. Mass transit is the best bet getting to Barclay's.
Just curious, based on your tag at the bottom, how did you get to meet Paul in 2010?? I want to bring a sign to Barclays asking Paul to sign my "Let It Be" tattoo (I'm in row 9, so I think that's close enough for him to see it if I write big). DO you think that might work? I know it has for others in the past...
Here's the story...we were extremely lucky!! http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=77256
Very cool! That's similar to what I'm planning to do. The concert is the day before my 21st birthday so I was going to have my dad hold a sign that said "sign the birthday girl" and I would hold one saying "I'm the birthday girl, sign my Beatles tattoo". Not sure if row 9 is close enough but I'm going to try anyway. Wish me luck lol
Sounds like a great plan...good luck!!

That would be AWESOME!!!
-
I was able to pull a single for section 218 row 13...straight back, up top, but based on what I'm reading and my Dylan visit, may actually be a better seat than it appears on the seating charts...anyway, at least I am in I couldn't pull up any tickets for saturday, so if anyone has a pair in the lower two ticket tiers ($99 and $69 or whatever they are) please send a PM or email...hoping to take my girlfriend thanks dubstar at mac dot com

"Had a hard time finding a cab driver willing to take me from Manhattan to the Citifield shows last time." well, the train would have been easier anyway, but when hailing a cab in NYC, get in before you tell them where you are going...it is illegal for a cab to refuse a fare based on destination within the city or nearby vicinity...politely inform them it is illegal to refuse a fare based on destination (the law is posted in every cab) and take down the medallion number...simply sit in the car and call 311 if the driver refuses http://cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/02/24/taxi-panel-focuses-on-destination-discrimination/ http://www.tripadvisor.com/Travel-g60763-s304/New-York-City:New-York:Taxis.And.Rental.Cars.html http://www.nyc.gov/apps/311/allServices.htm?requestType=topService&serviceName=Yellow+Taxi+Complaint http://www.nyc.gov/html/tlc/html/faq/faq_pass.shtml

I doubt it. I was hoping for one, but the pattern of added shows usually follows the same: the added show seems to pop up the day of the general sale. I believe that ship has sailed..

Yes, I would absolutely not take a cab to Barclays. The traffic around there is not worth the trouble (it's all one way streets, you'll be going there during rush hour, etc. There are 9 subway lines and the LIRR that go right there and it's hands down the easiest way to go.

Nevermind the near impossibility of getting a cab back into Manhattan after the show is over.... While there's always a rank of taxis waiting in front of the arena during every show, they'll be snapped up quickly and certainly before the encores are over (quite possibly before they even start) - hailing one on the street is not realistic. If you do luck out, be advised you're most likely talking a minimum of $20 if you're going anywhere above 14th Street, most of it spent getting out of the snarl on both sides of the Manhattan Bridge. Subway is efficient, cheap and, yes, safe! There will be cops both around the arena exits and in the subway concourse itself, as well as there'll be hundreds of other folks making their way into the city with you after the show is over. Save your money for merch and/or booze!

This is a longshot because I'm fairly certain I already know the answer, but is there any way to sell VIP tickets (gold ticket, not a soundcheck related pass)? Like, at all? Ever? Something came up, and I don't know if I can go to the concert anymore, but I have a gold VIP ticket, and I don't want it to go to waste/waste my money. I'm pretty sure you can't, but I just wanted to check.
