Paul to play secret gig in Liverpool
-
6pm - 9pm according to the link above. I finish work at 6:30 and would only get there approx 7-ish. No doubt I wouldn’t stand a chance of getting in.
Do you think it’s worth taking a sickie tomorrow and risking my job lol?

I was lucky enough to be in the audience at the Q&A today with my son and after it finished we were asked to stay in our seats for a surprise. Paul and all the band then played a set for over an hour it was amazing. The experience me and my son had today money can't buy. I see someone has already posted the setlist above. Roll on Friday LIPA graduation and then December
He really played "From Me To You?"
He did. He also told us that Mrs Vanderbilt is the favourite Wings song in the Ukraine
Yes, they voted that song in a few years ago. How was his new song Confidante? Did you guys happen to tape anything? We are all waiting to hear Paul's new album.
Confidante is fantastic he told us that it's Nancy's favourite off the Album. My son taped about 30 seconds of I've just seen a face. Not sure if anyone else taped it was a really intimate gig with about 4 to 500 people there.
Nice! Glad you guys enjoyed it.

That’s not the gig time, that’s road closures: from 6pm today till 9pm tomorrow. So I think it’ll be a late afternoon start.

I live in Liverpool and went to LIPA today but couldn't get in so I stood outside for 4 hours to see if I could see him afterwards but I just got sunburned lol (on the upside I'll have a nice tan next week). Missed out on Echo Arena tickets for December so I'm really hoping to see him tomorrow but I don't know what time the gig is. Does anyone have any clues?

Thanks. 220 people got in last time he played. I wouldn’t be surprised there is that many waiting outside already.

Just a note, tomorrow is supposedly going to be one of the hottest days of the year. So if anyone is thinking of standing in a queue for 10-odd hours, make sure you keep hydrated.

The Beatles Story dropping a hint that it could be taking place there?

Interesting! I wonder what time? Liverpools only a 2 hour drive from me. Would it be greedy to see him 2 times in one week!
We don’t know what the requirements are for getting in, but if he’s looking for pretty blonds, you are a shoe-in!

There? At The Beatles Story? No, they just asked where do you think it will be.
It is definitely The Cavern.

How did one get a seat for this Q&A? Does your son go to LIPA?

LIPA set list from The Daily Beatle:
- I’ve Just Seen A Face
- San Francisco Bay Blues
- Every Night
- From Me To You
- Mrs Vanderbilt
- On My Way To Work
- Love Me Do
- Confidante (from the new album)
- I Lost My Little Girl
- Midnight Special
- An unfinished song about Blackpool, Southport and Scunthorpe
- We Can Work It Out.
I like this, a little bit different. He did "On My Way To Work" which I don't think he did live more than once before this time. Seems like he likes "Confidante" from the new album, maybe the next single? If he said it was Nancy's favorite from the new album then it is a keeper on the set list - lol. "Mrs Vanderblit" was a big crowd favorite for years and think it has been awhile since he played it. I also am glad he did "From Me To You" and "Every Night", two of my favorites. I still wish in "secret" shows he would throw in a song or two from his solo career that he has never done live. For example, "Little Willow" of "Early Days" would have been wonderful addition at this type of show IMO.

Is "Confidante a upbeat song? Reading your post and I thought maybe it is the next single to be released from the album. Must be incredible seeing someone like McCartney in that intimate setting, glad you had great time !!
