Someone has edited together a few videos from Paul's performance of Helter Skelter with The Killers:
By the way, Paul was at Obama's farewell party last night. I wonder which song (or songs) did he play? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4096826/Stevie-Wonder-Paul-McCartney-Nick-Jonas-celebs-arrive-President-Obama-s-final-White-House-Bash.htmlMaybe "The End Of The End?"
Maybe a cover of Green Day's "Good Riddance"
Come on Bob...the obvious knock from the Paul catalog would've been "I've Had Enough"
-
Very true, but in this case.....I like Good Riddance!!!
-
Or "That Day is Done"

Aside from political jibes, any actual further rumors to report on?

I'm surprised we haven't heard more from Australia...
-
No......pretty much just political jibes while things have gone silent
-
Australia. A rumour. Hey, did I tell you I got a nice email from MA wishing me Happy New Year?

I just woke up, so my brain is not working 100% yet. Who is MA?

Mashall Arts? Or have I completely invented that company? It is 4:30AM here and my brain isn't working 100% either.

According to someone on another message board: "Strong rumor that he's on for New Orleans Jazzfest, which has been in the wind for at least five years now". http://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/paul-mccartneys-one-on-one-tour.500336/page-121#post-15708029 The festival goes from April 28 to May 07. Would there be enough time, since he will be in Japan to do concerts on April 27, 29 and 30? http://www.nojazzfest.com/

He wouldn't be playing ALL of the dates. So yeah...he'd be able to make it by May 7th.

Of course. What I meant is that he usually takes a couple of weeks off between tour legs (to be with his daughter), so the break between April 30 and May 07 seems kind of short. My guess is that the tour leg after Japan will begin around May 10 to 15 and last another 7-10 days, during which time he will do 3 or 4 concerts.

True, but JazzFest is one of the few large music festivals that he hasn't played yet, so maybe it's time. He can easily be a Sat. or Sun. night headliner. And maybe that's not when Bea's break is this year. If we are still thinking about him fitting Australia in during the time that he is in Japan, then this rumour does not fit well with that schedule. We should find out soon - the lineup does get announced in January. And I normally do NOT do festivals, but I went to JazzFest once and had a great time, so I would consider going for Paul.

If it does happen, it should be quite interesting. For example, he could call some of the festival's jazz musicians onstage for a song or two. After all, he did invite the Kronos String Quartet to play "Yesterday" with him back in 2013 at the Outside Lands festival:

Sorry...you didn't explain it that way in your question.

No problem at all. It's always exciting trying to find out info about where/when he will be playing next.
