New Macca song called "Get Enough" coming out at midnight

This song is horrid! It is autotuned to death! Here’s a short snippet:

Got it, but says Video Unavailable. And track not available in U.S. except on Spotify. It’s not worth it anyway. 🤮

Ugh... I'm so tired of links not auto-hyperlinking!
And the track isn't available in the U.S. yet because it isn't midnight in any time zone in the States...

Oh, I see! Well, I wouldn’t lose any sleep over not hearing it folks. You might not want to listen at 12:01 am - it could give you nightmares! I “got enough” after 15 seconds!

^ Well the middle part is the best so you missed it. But I don't like the autotune either.

How have you heard the whole thing?

A new song to start off the new year is a nice surprise from Paul and his team.
Thank you!

It's on Apple Music in Australia. I will reserve my judgement until I've heard it a few more times... some of it is nice, some of it I am struggling with. It's no classic, however, at first listen. I got no butterflies, which is usually the sign of a great song. But I'll give it a few more goes.

The auto tune does tend to spoil the song. Had this been (nearly) 40 years ago, and a song on McCartney II it would have been acceptable but now it just sounds so old hat. The last minute of the song is better with some lovely choral vocals but overall its hardly a Macca classic.
The full song can be heard here:

Well on this site, Get Enough will be either hated or loved. Put me down in the LOVE column. What a cool tune; a very heartfelt song with achingly sweet lyrics. Yes, I'm a rocker that is generally not a huge fan of his ballads, but this song had me at hello.

It was a time when we walked by the docks
I told you, "I need you all of my life"
And watching the tugs rolling by
Together
Do you remember?Do you remember the lights on the shore?
How they reflected the rain on the road?
I believe that you love me alone
It was real
Do you remember? Now and then I see your face
I've been wanting a lovin' embrace
I've been looking for love
But it gets me nowhere
Oh, yeah, yeahGet enough, get enough, get enough of
Get enough, get enough, get enough of
I can't get enough of youIt was a time we were all full of hope
Saw the future burning bright
As we watched the moon rollin' out
To sea
Do you remember? But those days are erased from my mind
Yeah, I've left all those old days behind
But still I remember your face
ForeverGet enough, get enough, get enough of
Get enough, get enough, get enough of
I can't get enough of youIt was a time when we walked by the docks

I think the autotune when he sings "Get Enough" is supposed to represent a past memory of a love he once knew that still echoes through his mind...
Haven't listened to the whole song yet, but I find the words haunting and beautiful, with lyrics in the style of From a Lover to a Friend.

Reading the lyrics it seems that Paul is clearly addressing / remembering someone...Dot Rhone maybe?

Another glaring problem on this board. I posted all the lyrics & they posted correctly on separate lines. Why is it all bunched up now like a paragraph? Does anyone read the "feedback" from the button at the side?

I think you have to leave a gap between each line

Thanks Kestrel. More things to remember around here.
As someone once said "It's All Too Much".

Sorry, Oobu, I should have hit the refresh button, I saw that you posted the lyrics after my post was done. Thanks for sharing them.
I.ve had trouble with poetry lines/song lyrics bunching up like that too. If you copy and paste directly from a website to here, it always does that because of some kind of hidden code that's at the end of each line... after 30 minutes here it somehow deletes the hard returns, not sure why!
Because of that, I always copy and paste from the website to Notepad first.... then go to the end of each line and delete the hard returns (which deletes whatever hidden code is with it) and make everything into a sentence.... then have to go back in and manually add hard returns where they're supposed to be... then copy and paste to here.... A lot of work I know, but it seems to be the only thing that works when copying lyrics directly from another site. If someone knows an easier way, let us know, and we can also discuss it on the Maccaboard forum.

I was wondering that too... or is it a composite of different women he's loved? Or is it just a feeling he's tried to put into words and not about any particular person? Paul always makes his lyrics very interesting and introspective and that makes people want to talk about them and what they mean.

Dot's father was a timekeeper at the (Liverpool) docks so that also kind of ties in with the location.
