"B-Side To Seaside" by Linda McCartney, the b-side to her "Seaside Woman," is a real auditory treat; I love its variety-filled arrangement and, unique sounding as well, its ecletic instrumentation

When I first saw the title, my first thought was B-side is a play on the word "Beside"... at the time it was recorded, can't imagine Linda not being beside Paul at the seaside.

I missed this thread back in January so just bumping it up again with some additional info.  B-Side To Seaside was recorded at Abbey Road studios on 16th March 1977, during  the early Wings  sessions for 'London Town'. The song however features just Paul (drums, guitars, banjo, piano, moog, melotron, congas and backing vocals) and Linda (on vocals).

Had the session taken place the following day, it would have been exactly 10 years since Paul recorded his vocals for 'She's Leaving Home' in the same studio.

Listening to the song just now, my takeaway was that it was a B-side to C-side/Seaside play on words. 😉

But you’re right, she would definitely be beside Paul at the seaside!

Yes! Totally agree with your take of the play on words.
