Fans on stage it's a no from me

I like the old days, when Paul signed LPs for people who were down close.
Am not a big fan of that, either; people used to just throw albums up at him and sometimes he would get hit in the face with them. Also, he wasn't always sure who the album or CD belonged to, so he sometimes would just toss it randomly back in the direction it came from, and there would be other people trying to grab the item before the rightful owner could get to it.

Would you be saying the same thing if it was you being brought up on stage? Also, Paul rarely does this at UK gigs...but, I'd say it's mind-blowing for the fans he brings up on stage. Fair play to them!!
Completely agreed... At the Outside Lands show, I met the girl who was on stage, and saw Paul's signature on her forearm... said she was going to a tattoo place to make it permanent....

Last night in Liverpool is exactly what I mean It is exactly why I'm against it. We could have another two songs it took that long to get them off the stage

I usually don't mind fans onstage, but last night was ridiculous. The guy kept asking Paul to marry him!

I've been lucky enough to meet him several times over the years through waiting patiently at Abbey Road, Apple and various gigs round the country so not bothered about going up on stage. I think I'd die of embarrassment in any case! And I don't like tattoos. Ho hum, not a chance then. Added to that, I'm 60 and not a lithe young thing any more. It seems you do have to be pretty young to get called up - either a child or a 20 something girl. Or maybe that's just who I've seen going up. At the end of the day, I don't really mind other people being called up and am pleased for them to get the opportunity to see the magic close up! I met him in the 60s 70s and 80s and he was pretty hot then
Lovely post

Wow. That's the risk you take. U2 had a fan get on stage to jam with them a few days ago, and Bono had to calm him down and get him to play in tempo with the rest of the band, but it ended up sounding pretty good! Still, you never know.

Yes it wasnt fun to watch, dont get me wrong for him to have asked Paul to marry once is funny but after that the joke was over, well it didnt spoil it really but it is a gamble when people go up.

Most of the time its fine with me when he brings people on stage. Sometimes it works and other times it does not. It doesn't change the amount of songs played. But last night was definitely one of the nights that did not work!!!

Bringing the guy on stage in Liverpool was a train wreck!

You could tell Paul twigged it was kind of just to get on stage when he said "i get the feeling you're not serious about this.." But after the guy eventually properly proposed to his gf, it was funny when Paul said (as Brian Riddle had to pretty much push them off!) "if i was you love i'd get him to ask you again in the morning, when he's not pissed"!!! The 2 of them had front row middle block, which you can't buy from a package, you have to be "upgraded" from the back for that. I may be a suspicious type but i do think the whole thing was designed to get the front and get to meet him..
