I remember reading on the Steve Hoffman forums that Paul knows he has to revamp the setlist before he tours America again..
Not just the US, Europe too! He's toured that tired set as much in the UK as he has the US!! Long time no see Kisha, hope all is well!

Can anyone here name other performers who at 70 years old do what Paul does live? Of course not. His voice is not what it used to be but it's darn good for his age and show lenght.
Your post says it better than I could ever say it!
Thank you Sir. I'm working hard to improve my English skills.

Does everyone actually think what that article said is true? That Paul is taking time out to "work on a new tour"(among other things) ? I really hope it's true, but it's creating too much suspense on something that could just turn out as a new tour name and virtually the same old setlist. If he's working on it, then he could at least revamp the setlist and also figure out where he hasn't been to play in a while.
If he hadn't cancelled Denmark, I would feel the way you describe. But I really do believe we are going to see a big change. Not just an "Up and Coming" to "On The Run"...I changed ten songs, change either.

He's saying hello, oobu. I've been sickly lately, not being able to do as much as I would like online and offline. But, I'm managing.

I'm hoping that Paul knows that "revamp" doesn't mean rotating in four songs he hasn't played in a few years.

Pretty much. I imagine the setlist discussion going something like this: Paul: "Hey guys, let's put in a song that NO ONE is expecting! How about 'Hey Jude'?"

I have to admit I laughed

Let's see....to really convince us he is working on a radically different set list, he can start by playing London Town as the Olympics opening number rather than Hey Jude. Only us diehard fans jump for joy and it won't be quite the sing along as Jude would but it would be in keeping with NBC playing little snippets of things like London Calling as we get closer to the games.
-
If I had my way, Paul would start performing complete albums. When heavy promotion started for the Band On The Run reissue I found it a missed opportunity for Paul not to perform all 9 songs from the album in concert instead of 5, at least scattered throughout the setlist. Many artists do it and get away with it. That way he would please the fans and there's another 2 hours of concert to please people who just goes for The Beatles' hits.
-
For those who with McCartney would emphasize his solo career, the WINGS OVER AMERICA set list is a great template. Something like 33 songs, of with 5 were Beatle songs.

I've said that before. Would be epic

Don't know if this is true but Paul is apparently watching tonights Springsteen show (Hyde Park, London) According to a post on a Springsteen message board he is backstage...and Bruce is just starting his encores! Maybe Paul will be putting in a guest appearance?
