Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours

So what, you just want Paul to become a stale oldies act so you can see him twice a year?
No, I would love to hear a bunch of obscure songs, as I have previously mentioned. But Paul has said in many interviews that he's always going to perform the songs he believes most people want to hear, which are his "hits". I choose not to be upset about that, since it's not my decision. I'll just enjoy the show.
Bingo again!

I have missed the last batch of interviews, has he said anything about touring? whether or not he's done for the year. Like the Laura Laverne interview?
After listening to that interview, I got the feeling that he wanted to focus on his next album for the rest of the year. Maybe he'll do a few concerts in Europe in December, as he has been doing in previous years, and tour again next year to promote the new album.

I don't think a lot of us North Americans really do, and I wouldn't lump all of Europe in their either. I think its mainly the home land, but at least you can say the South Americans know respect and how to treat and talk about a legend that is for sure. Wish I could have gone to some of those shows. They looked as if they were amazing.
They were amazing indeed, but I would also love to see Paul perform live in the USA and Europe. I bet it's a different experience, and it would also be an opportunity to see new places.
I hope you are able to, one day

5th Beatle that's perfect. exactly how I feel as well. Hoping the SA rumors will lead to some Canadian dates. Paul, December in Canada is really beautiful. December 12 and 13 are good dates for Toronto

Fingers crossed. I believe most of his concerts in the USA and Europe are reserved seating, right? It would be nice to be able to arrive at the venue just an hour or so before the show knowing that my seat will be there just waiting for me.

I've never been to Canada, but I have heard a lot of good things about the country. It's one of the places I want to see someday. By the way, Paul's complete 2008 concerts in Halifax and Quebec are officially available on DVD at record stores in Brazil. Have they been released over there as well?

Yes most shows here are assigned seating, which is why some of us go nuts trying to get seats up front, although last year in Yankee stadium I had a seat in the very back and the next night up front and I have to say even though all seats were assigned, I enjoyed the view from the back more than trying to see over peoples heads in a section where we were squeezed in like sardines and bumped all over the place.

No they haven't been. Both concerts were available at the time as pay-per-view, but I didn't watch them. I have seen bootlegs for sale, but I don't buy those usually. I prefer the live experience. Hope you make it to Canada one day.

I know the feeling. I always try and get as close as possible to the stage during Paul's shows in Brazil, but the tallest people are usually the ones in the front rows, and you can hardly breathe or move, as it's crowded. On the other hand, I was quite far from the stage at his concerts in other South American countries, but it was a much more relaxed experience.

You know there must be something wrong with the ratio of Wings to Beatles when Wings fans are neglected to a shout-out before 1985.
Exactly.

But the dance that goes with it is priceless

But he's even beating the obscure ones to death...I've heard "Mrs. Vandebilt" at EVERY Paul concert I've been to. That's five concerts, spanning three tours. I NEVER thought I'd be complaining about that!

No, there is QUITE a price to pay... :

I don't think it's necessary to announce it here first. Everybody should hear it.
Some of us on here pay our money to be kept up to date - sadly so far everything has been yesterdays news.
Denny, those of us who paid good money for the premium membership were promised exclusive access to presales on tickets. When you get an hour head's up on those presales or dates are announced only a few weeks, sometimes not even that much, in advance, you tend to feel ripped off.
-
I just say this...... : : : at some of these comments..
-
i didn't know that premium membership gave you early access or better access to tickets. Was that true at the shows last summer (Yankee, Montreal)? Anybody was able to buy the VIP tix as I recall. Is this something new since then? Was this in effect for the Mexican or S.A. shows?

I know! I've heard "Michelle" so many times I actually considered running for a beer when he started it...again..."Mrs. Vandebilt" was fine for one tour, but now it's a staple. And yet "Letting Go" was dropped... :

It wasn't in effect for any US shows, but I believe the SA shows did get that privilege. The premium membership only gives you access to an exclusive presale before the official presale before the regular sale. Follow all that? HOWEVER, the notification for those presales has been horribly last minute with many people not actually getting the notification until the presale was actually over. : There was quite a bit of backlash from members about that, and I expect the same should Paul decide to tour again, which I hope he does.

I know you're asking Wix this question, but I'd prefer Sing the Changes as this song was written more recently and fits his current voice. He should replace Mrs. Vandebilt with some other obscure Wings song... many of them, actually...and clean out some of the Beatles songs.
