Andre Gardner, host of Philadelphia's "Breakfast With The Beatles" radio show siad that there is a BIG Beatles announcement coming tomorrow, on facebook...last month when the iTunes album was "released" he said there was a rumor it would be out on limited edition (1000 copies) vinyl pressing. So, it's probably that... ...but wishful thinking could hope for US Paul Dates!?!?
probably the release date of Magical Mystery Tour on DVD/Blue Ray.
Hasn't that already been announced? I'm not buying it so I'm not following it, but I thought it was... Also, I saw that Beatles Scrabble is going to be released this fall, I'll be getting that for sure!
Beatles Scrabble?!?!? What a wonderful, exciting way to spend my Saturday nights!! I'm being serious, too.
Its the Word

The few beatle friends I have in the area have little beatle parties almost monthly, on iconic beatle dates...and we've really been getting good at trivial pursuit, and monopoly takes so long...this will be good to shake things up!

bottom line is that paul mccartney owes south america nothing...to him its just another continent or country. mccartney is a brit from irish heritage...he lived and brought alot of his kids up in scotland and his ex and current wives are american. apart from the countries mentioned, nowhere else has any significance. infact south america should think themselves lucky that hes been there at all...as was said earlier,im not sure even the beatles could be arsed and they went everywhere
I guess Mike, Paul's brother, did some research and they come from Scottish stock originally, not Irish. Just an interesting little tidbit.
You mean on his dad's side? Cause him mum was Irish, wasn't she?
I believe it was his dad's side, as apparently they had believed they were 100% Irish until relatively recently.
You mean he has SCOTTISH mixed in with IRISH????? They're so DIFFERENT!!!
In the book The Macs by Mike McCartney, he has a family tree. All of Paul's dad's ancestors (his father Joseph born in Liverpool being the exception) were born in Scotland. That is, Paul's great and great-great-Grandfathers (both named James btw) Paul's mom's dad Owen was from Glasgow, Scotland, but her grandfather (also Owen) and great-grandfather Michael were from Ireland. BTW, I have Scotch-Irish ancestry too!

I agree! All my "Beatle friends" are at work and are married guys! So it's not like I can invite any of them over to play Beatles Trivial Pursuit or Beatles Monopoly (have both games and have never opened the 2nd one!)

Just saw on FB Brian Ray is taking a poll on who would like him to do solo gigs in Brazil and Argentina. Not sure what that bodes for future McCartney shows but it is food for thought.

Brian Ray has been doing solo recordings with Lucrecia Lopez Sanz from Argentinean band (and friends of mine) Nube 9. He will probably come here to promote those songs and go to other south American countries as well.

I didn't realize Brian was working with them--thanks for that.

Brian already toured South America with Nube 9 a year or 2 ago. I saw them 30 blocks from my home.

It sure wouldn't be the same without any Winter gigs, but if Paul decides to hold off til 2013 then I'm good with that.
-
Not a rumor... Paul will be joining Berry Gordy on September 18 at Manhattan's Steinway Hall for a charity event.
