Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours
-
audi:
Paul played a really quick snippet of "Lady Madonna's" main piano riff on Oprah in the '90s -- and I realized how much skill that song requires on piano. I play bass to that one a lot -- one of his best bass-lines, too.
That's forever my bass song to soundcheck to

That song is too good for just a soundcheck. It needs to be in your set. You can tweak the lyrics to make it work for your Christian audiences. Just replace the words "lady Madonna" with...um, "mother Mary." There ya' go!

Ok, it's on! An "historical concert event" will be announced for Edmonton tomorrow. One and one is two? And listen to this: apparently they were testing the big screens outside the BC Place in Vancouver, with an familiar name on the bill. November 25th 2012, on sale next Friday.

Patience, Grasshopper! I doubt McCartney is doing ONE show in Vancouver in November and nothing else around that time. I suspect there will be other shows announced, Canadian, and maybe USA in the northern regions.
-
The official announcement as to who is actually playing in Vancouver is coming tomorrow, so we'll know pretty quickly if this is a rumor or not. http://blogs.edmontonjournal.com/2012/09/06/is-paul-mccartney-coming-to-edmonton-this-fall/

It's cool if it's true, but it would mean he'll probably do more dates in the US over what would normally be annual UK Christmas dates. If so, that'd make me sad.

I'm just trying to figure out how I'm going to drive 20 hours, go to the show, drive 20 hours back, and make it to work the next day...eight days a week sounds nice right about now.

I'll keep you company in the car. We'll play 20 hours of Macca music on the way there as his warm up act.
