Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours
-
BarbB:
Recife, Brasil
I was at Ringo's concert there last year. Is Paul's concert just wishful thinking or is there any reason for speculation?
-
Sorry for european people but paul is planing to do some South American Dates, there is one confirmed date for Argentina 5th May. The Manager of paul has visited so far Cordoba,Rosario and La Plata,The best chances are Cordoba Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium because is a strategy point to paul because he also wants to visit Paraguay and Uruguay After Colombia. This is not a rumour the manager is here is a fact, and all the newspaper are talkin' about it,the producers as usually are keeping the silence until is all arranged but they don't deny any of this (as they usually do) and speaks as a "possibility"..

Can someone post a list of rumored dates please?

those of us in the Northeast U.S. have gotten really spoiled the past few years... My wife and I have seen Paul the past three summers... It was starting to feel like a tradition... I fear this will summer will break our streak
Oh well, I guess it's only fair to share Macca with the rest of the world too!

He'll be back, don't worry

It looks like March and April will be for Europe, but I still hope that Paul will return to Brazil for at least one concert in May.

He will, he likes it there

I'm not surprised, Marcos, given the ultra fantastic over the top reception he gets in South America and Mexico, Spain, the Latin countries in general
Many even camped out in tents for days! I'd be thrilled for him to perform in your neck of the woods again! I was also intrigued by the chance he might play Memphis and San Diego in the States
Was glad for the U.S. to garner attention again, possibly, in those two areas
I don't think he's ever played San Diego. Maybe not even Memphis. Beatlesfan Randy is gonna love this to pieces, if it's true
(He lives in San Diego)

AND the audiences are MENTAL!

Specs: Uruguay, Paraguay and Recife, Brasil.
This news just came in: a company called "Orpec" (which was responsible for building the stage for a Pearl Jam concert) was asked for an estimate of the cost to build the stage for a McCartney concert in a Brazilian city called Florianópolis, at a place called "Sapiens Parque", which every year hosts a festival called "Planeta Atlântida" and has enough speace for up to 50,000 people. The date mentioned in the material supplied to Orpec was late April / early May, and in the same document two other cities were mentioned for Brazilian concerts: Recife and Brasília! http://www.thebeatles.com.br/portal/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=4149 http://wp.clicrbs.com.br/contraversao/ Also, an inside source has mentioned that a Brazilian bank will sponsor these new concerts.

Wow...didn't realize it had been that long for San Diego! So technically, Paul has never done a "Paul McCartney" concert in San Diego.

It says May 5th - Argentina / May 7th - Mexico. Does that website publish rumours or confirmed concerts only?

I think both confirmed and rumoured concerts as well.

Cool. Hope some of these dates get confirmed soon. Then we can move on to speculating about the next set of shows
