Paul McCartney 2012 Rumours
-
I was in touch about this tweet with Steve of the Beatles/Paul Examiner and he is investigating to see if it is true or if it was just a promotional ploy. For those of you that didn't see the tweet: https://twitter.com/PaulMcCartney Houston Fans: Catch Paul at Minute Maid Park on 11/14, one of only two US shows this year!

Well, as of now it is true. I suspect they are just trying to sell the rest of the Houston tix.

Only time will tell. I don't think he will do anything the week of American thanksgiving as I would think he would want to spend it with his American wife's family as he had when he Linda was alive.
-
I was just reporting what I read. I thought it would be of interest to fans here. Of course, things can change. St. Louis sold out, so it is POSSIBLE a second show may be added there, as it was in Edmonton. So far, it looks like the tweet is correct. No more shows have been announced for the USA in 2012.
-
I said earlier that Paul's site reported that these shows would end the 2012 tour. I'm sticking with that.
-
It said 'round out' which means basically the same thing.

Yup. It looks like no shows until next year, unless Paul creates a new tour with a new name in late November or December.

But we all know that a new name doesn't mean squat.

Pretty much.

Apparently, "minty fresh" don't mean a lot either. (not too late to prove us wrong, guys...)

One of my friends in the music industry in Brazil says there are strong rumors of Brazil in January. Also saw this on Beatles Examiner: http://www.examiner.com/article/all-but-one-new-mccartney-show-now-sold-out-more-to-come When asked, a McCartney spokesman said ?everything confirmed? is on the McCartney site and announced in social media. Since McCartney has a habit of announcing shows at the last minute and it's possible there could be others, though they might not be in the U.S. "everything confirmed" sounds as if it is a "as of now" thing; make you wonder what Paul hasn't confirmed with a venue. Anything could happen.

Yes, there are rumours indeed. Check this thread: http://maccaboard.paulmccartney.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=84768

So we're well into October now at what point do you all think no more shows will be announced? thinking along the lines of the Christmas shows etc here in the UK. So any chance of it still happening or are we now looking forward to next year in your opinion?

I'll be honest i had noticed the "round out" comment but i was putting it down to marketing speak . If I'm honest I'd have put money on Paul doing something this year to mark the Love me do release anniversary but as you say that doesn't seem to be the case now,oh well hope for next year i suppose
-
I still think there's a chance for the announcement of one or two small-venue dates in the U.K. Easy sell-outs.
-
^^ Indeed. Do remember that the 2011 December shows were announced around mid-October if I remember correctly. And don't forget the smaller 2010 UK dates were announced 2 weeks prior to the shows! So, for those of us desperate to see him yet AGAIn before the year is over, we do need to have our wits about us from now to mid December It's pretty tense.
-
Was looking at the O2 arena site, looks pretty full apart from a few days in mid December, maybe Paul with go with the RAH or Wembley Arena, being the 50th anniversary of Love me Do, would make sense for some UK shows to round off the year .
-
Oh, give me the RAH, Brixton or Hammersmith Apollo over those areana shows anytime! Such a better vibe for Macca at the smaller venues!
-
He better come back! O2 Academy in Liverpool would be perfect
