No cuter than any other (REAL) fan who dresses up. Kids aren't special and don't deserve special treatment by audiences.
I bet you're fun to be around at Christmas...
I took my son, he loves Paul, he's had health problems since birth but has come on so well this last year it's amazing and given us great hope that he'll actually be ok. And my dad died suddenly in May this year, it's been terrible. So for me and my sister - still grieving our dad, and my son who no longer has his grandad, to meet Paul the grandude himself - moving and special. If someone grumpy feels kids shouldn't be there etc or "aren't special", i'm not speaking for all kids but i'd say my son deserved it more than whoever used it to sell a book on ebay as per the previous post, so stop being such a grumpy person. I had my long waited for and longed for child at the old age of 41 (he was born on Linda's birthday, so he's nearly 3), he's my world, he loves Paul, he is always setting up cushions as a piano and performing Queenie Eye - no one taught him to he just does it, and he recited it to Paul who sang it back to him, makes me so happy and he's still talking about it now.
Life is still pretty upsetting this year, but every magical moment i can take i will happily do so
Now it's time to say good night... good night... sleep tight Zzzz
(And it was a childrens book after all... Waterstones *wanted* kids to be there)

You Don't ever have to explain for being a great mom or enjoying THE MAN with your SON!! What you experienced was so VERY special and I hope you always remember it! I can't be happier for you!! Some people might not agree.. and that's fine.. but seeing it and experiencing it with your child,, WOW !!!!!!!!!! I've seen the MAN a few times and when it was with my son (in the avatar at age 8 or 9 ) it made it soo much more enjoyable! He's now 23 and he keeps asking me to change the avatar............NO WAY! A moment in time.
So happy your son is doing great!!!!!!!!

I apologize if I came across as rude, I just tend to get really defensive about ageism. I suppose if you truly are a fan of someone, 5 or 105, you deserve to be around them just as much as anyone else. The problem is Western society these days all but revolves around kids. Look at any entertainer and you'll notice how they pay special attention to their younger fans. It angers me, but more than that it saddens me. It breaks my heart to know that just because I've become an "adult" according to some arbitrary, socially constructed standard I can no longer be considered "cute" or "special."
I identify as trans-age, meaning that my emotional age and identity doesn't run parallel to the number of years I've been alive. In other words, I'm a child trapped in the body and years of an adult. It causes me significant stress in my everyday life, and that's why I'm so sensitive about kids being talked about as special, because it frustrates me to death how I know myself and know that I am really a child inside, but nobody else sees or understands that. I look at some of these little kids getting attention from Paul and think to myself, hmm, if he were to meet me, he'd just see another boring adult, even though I'm actually still a little girl. Do you know who Renesmee is from the Twilight books? That's who I envision myself as, she is the ultimate standard of who I'd like to be and how I'd like people to treat me.
The Beatles are my life, and it just hurts to know that they will never see me as the child I am. I've actually conversed with John via spiirt, and he seems SO sweet and understanding of my identity, but then again, I always worry that the people who DO claim to understand only do so to be nice, not because they actually take me seriously. Which is a decent thing to do regardless, but it just breaks my heart to think I'll never truly be understood.

This person is selling a signed Hey Grandude and the second photo they're using is the photo of me with Paul This has infuriated me as I had no say in this & taking the special moment that I got with Paul to make a profit disgusts me! Getting in contact with the seller telling them to remove the picture of me now
I see they removed your photo and sold it for £500! Whoever paid that must have money to burn I guess! I’m sure they’re hoping to turn a profit on it when Paul dies! 🤬

The irony here is that the sellers have been able to maximise their profit because Paul refused to write any dedications in the books. If he had, for example, written 'To Fred with best wishes from Paul McCartney', then that copy would have fetched a lot less money than a plain 'Paul McCartney' signed book. After all, who would want to pay a lot of money for a book signed to Fred? Unless the buyer was called Fred of course.

Eeee Cor Blimey, you and your son are in this video!

Hi there,
My name is Francesco and I was at event with Paul in London for Hey Grandude! than I really enjoyed!
It was the best moment of my life, my father was a great fan of Paul and I grew up with his songs...his music changed my life...my father had the dream of meeting Paul but he didn't make it.
I was too happy when I bought the ticket and I still don't realize what really happened!
Could you please tell me how I can contact MPL for ask if I can get any picture or video of that? It would be a further dream to have this memory of the best day of my life.
Thanks for your time.

I have the very same question.
I have attended Friday's Hey Grandude signing event with Sir Paul in London.
I have been filmed and photographed from a short range by Paul's crew (not the regular press) when I was talking to Sir Paul.
Do you have any idea how to buy at least a photo or a frame from the recording from them? I have a photo of the cameraman if that helps somehow... There are some photos of me talking to Macca (made by my friends, the quality is poor) that's how I can show you how this guy looks like.
I sent few request via Paul's website and MPL's website, but there was no reply. Waterstones Event Team could not help neither. I have checked shutter and gettyimage, but there are only photos and movies made by regular press (featuring first part of the event - the meeting with kids).
I have been to 8 concerts, travelled thousands of miles, spent many days trying to get a photo with Sir Paul - that is important to me.
Thank you in advance

Oh wow.... i look bloody awful (hate my side profile!) but am not complaining at being on, it's fantastic!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the pointer Nancy, and for the cute comment oobu

These people read this forum! Now they are quoting Eeee Cor Blimey:

They make up the most ridiculous headlines!

^ what the heck is that website?? And why quote me?!

They quoted SusyLuvsPaul off this board a while back. They are a stupid website that trolls the Maccaboard, makes up eye-catching misleading headlines and quotes boardies. Why? To get clicks and make money!

Everyone looked so happy! The cute kiddos looked like they were really enjoying the story and having a great time.
Thanks for the link Nancy! Do you know...there was a photo of the book with a compass, colored binoculars, pencils and a few other bits and bobs. Is that a deluxe combo set with the book, for purchase? I know a little girl who would love something like that!

I haven’t seen anything like that for sale. Where did you see the photo? (by any chance are you that “little girl?”)

oh wow, i guess being shy is out the window now i'm "out there" to pardon the Paul pun hehe
I do hate how i look (on these and in life in general) but if the only way to get a pic with Paul was it to be so public that it's on his websites etc i'll take it!!! Wouldn't we all!
Thanks for doing the caps LadyLeslie, and Nancy for sharing. I'd made some myself too but really appreciate it, i love how this community is sometimes ((hugs)) - thank you
