Question for you. Where would you place the songs just released on the original album?
I wouldn't. Much as I find Egypt Station to be a fairly forgettable, uninteresting album, the inclusion of the two 'new' songs (positioned anywhere on ES) wouldn't have improved the album at all.
I have to say that I agree with everything you've said here, Kestrel.
I'm glad someone does. Its almost a hanging offence around here not to say wonderfully squiffy things about Paul's recent releases !!
That's why I don't post here much - too many people ready to have a go at you if you don't like everything he does!

According to Wikipedia, Home Tonight/In A Hurry reached Number 3 in the UK charts. What???!

Can't remember if I posted here that I got this single from a friend (who is also a record dealer) who sold it for a reasonable price.

I assume you think that is too high? The album Egypt Station did debut at #1 on Billboard.

These two songs have only gotten better over time! Are there any more? Love this album and its songs! Love the paintings and now the spinning wheels. Is there a name for those wheels? There must be...
