Okay gang... I want to hear "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" on the upcoming tour... and so do you!! At least, I"m sure many of you do. And so, I am putting this challenge "out there"... let's make this happen!! We've got the standard route, which has worked somewhat in the past (i.e. Venus & Mars/Rock Show), where we would have a thread on this board simply asking for it. However, I propose we take this request to Paul as directly as we can... through the "You Gave Me the Answer" section of the website. Now, I'm aware that the question is selected for him to answer but still, why don't we all just start repeatedly submitting the following question: Would you consider playing "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey" on your upcoming OUT THERE tour? I have already sent this question in and I was thinking that if as many of us as possible did so, maybe the question would be selected and our request could possibly be brought to Paul's attention. Thoughts???
Actually, fans should have a Wings/Solo career challenge to McCartney. How about sending question to him requesting numerous songs for his after Beatle career that he has never played live. Why settle for one song? - lol

Totally! Right now I am listening to a cd & have the DVD to watch, of a cover band doing Ram in it's entirety for Paul's 70th b-day. Sure wish Paul would have done it!

Uncle Albert...... thread here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

473 songs performed in concert since 1985. 473! Number of times Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey performed? Zero. Zip. Nada. Check the list here; http//www.setlist.fm/stats/paul-mccartney-13d6bd15.html. Also, check here http//www.paulmccartney.com/live/tour-archives C'mon, Paul, it's time for you to break out a real beloved classic. You've done "Too Many People," a fine song, but not the best on "Ram." Let's get this petition going, give it some momentum, and hopefully, finally, we'll get to hear Uncle Albert. Anyone with me on this? Hands across the water. Heads across the sky.

Silly Love Songs is next in the queue!

I'm not that big a fan of Uncle Albert, but I can see why some want it, I mean after all it was a #1. I'm in the more Wings camp myself, would love if he added something like... Hi Hi Hi Girlschool I've Had Enough How about Somebody Who Cares One Of These Days No More Lonely Nights

He knows we want it! And then I can think of Wings things. People keep requesting "Uncle Albert." It'd be great to do, but it's just a little bit of a challenge to learn, 'cause these are not twelve-bars. But once you get them, and once you do them right, they kind of feel like twelve-bars. That's the trick. That would be a nice challenge for Paul and his band. Hope it comes into fruition.

In Rolling Stone Mag Paul mentions how people keep asking for Uncle Albert. He said it would be great to do but a little challenging. Also he was asked about retiring, and he said "I don't know, I can never imagine not doing it, it's what I do and what I've always done, I love it so much" Rolling Stone also said that Paul called in from Los Angeles where he was putting the finishing touches on his next album.

I still want Silly Love Songs !

Just one's opinion but I think in a big venue (stadium or arena) that "Young Boy" would go down better than Uncle Albert. Wouldn't mind both being played for sure.

I don't know about that. The crowd would get into the "hands across the water" chorus.
