ya, kinda odd cos rumors were Paul wasn't doing the Stick, but in at Levi stadium... I'll keep you posted... the NEW album is excellent!!! heard it live in Japan!
You were so lucky to hear those NEW songs live in Japan! On a personal level, I am glad that Paul will be playing this show at the Stick.I have so many memories of going to Giants games there until AT&T opened in 2000, as well as seeing that other band from England play the Stick, too, in 1981.
-
Thanks for the hotel info. What a magical time this will be-seeing Sir Paul perform in the same venue where the Beatles performed their last concert! I wish everyone on the board the best of luck in getting tickets!
-
Any Ohioans will know it's also the anniversary of the last time the Beatles played Cleveland in 1966. (Wish he would come back to Cleveland, it's been a while!)
-
all I need now, to figure how I'm gonna get there from the S. Bay - since I'm staying for a few days...... oh and to get a ticket.....
-
I'm now thinking of staying near the Stick...motel, will be too wiped out to make the 1 & 1/2 hour drive back home after the concert. Maybe take a cabbie from the motel to the stadium since parking will be UGLY. I still don't see mention of a pre-sale. No AMEX in my wallet. Even if Candlestick is cold, set list is the same ol', I will see PAUL anytime. He will keep me warm.

I'm crossing fingers we will get a presale and not just Amex. All other venues on this tour got a presale for the site so would be a bit bad if Candlestick didn't get one as well.
-
Got the motel, a Travelodge just a few minutes away from the venue, now just need the tix.
-
The more I read the more it sounds like they're only doing an Amex presale for this show. But I guess we shall see if anything comes about in the next few days.
-
Booked my room and flight! Now just to get tickets!

I think Candlestick is close to downtown so I'm thinking staying in downtown close to water and just bus/cab to this...
You may want to stay in Burlingame, closer to the airport, and it will be easier to get a cab to the Stick.

Does anyone know what the closest hotel to Candlestick Park might be? Thank You.
You may be better off staying in Burlingame, close to the airport, and then catching a cab. Candlestick is really closer to South San Francisco.
-
I'm debating this one. I agree with Bruce M. a little on this choice, even though it is historic. But if I do go, it would be a quick trip there and back (if I can get a decent regular ticket) and I would love to share a room with someone. i was thinking about something close to the airport. since that seems to be the closest to the park. Please PM if you'd like a roomate.

Yup, I'm registered, but I've never gotten one e-mail from the site except to confirm my registration. Has anyone else or is that just how it is?

Really excited about this gig. Been a 49er season ticket holder since the 70s so it will be cool to have one last event there and what an event! Some of my best memories have been in that awful, windy, cold, wonderful park! I'll miss my section 30, row 16, seats 3 & 4!
