Oh I really hope he does play Michelle! I am starting to get excited and can't wait to see what the setlists are going to be leading up.
I'm torn on this one... traditionally, I have avoided setlists like the plague, as I like to be surprised. However, in 2010, I had been following the setlists and made my decision to by tickets soley on the fact that I knew he was going to play Venus & Mars/Rock Show... and I've got to say that knowing the setlist did not affect my enjoyment of the show one bit! This time around, I'm tempted to look at the setlists. That way I'll know exactly what he's going to play so that I can make sure my son knows every song. Since this is going to be his first macca concert, I want him to really enjoy it!!!
-
I REALLY want to hear Penny Lane, that is the one song I wish he would have played in 2010. I know that I will be happy with whatever setlist he plays as long as he plays a couple different songs from the Up and Coming tour.

Penny Lane is one of my favorite Beatles songs. I was thrilled when he played it on the "US Tour" in 2005, which my first Macca concert. I'd love to see it come back to the setlist. Not sure why he dropped it, really. It's definitely a crowd favorite. I'd actually love to see him do "Cut Me Some Slack" in DC but I doubt he'll do it without Nirvana on hand... hey, maybe they'll show up! LOL

Triplets Love Paul:
My triplets became increasingly concerned that there is no Philly rumor and thus far, no announcement for New York. The pleading commenced yesterday after school and carried on through this morning's school drop-off time! I am very happy to report that we will see everyone in D.C.!!! Many thanks to the powers that be for making sure that Paul's fans have access to pre-sales and most importantly to our family, with a ticket limit of FOUR rather than two. Triplets LOVE Paul!!!
Excellent! Where will you all be sitting?
We are in section 1, row 10. So happy that you were finally able to obtain the tickets that you desired, congratulations!!! Hope you have a fantastic time!!!

WeWe'll be way up in 136 and thrilled to death just to be in the building! Actually, we'll be a lot closer than we were in Yankee Stadium... that summer we just bought cheap seats for the sake of saying we were there, lol. You know, I think you're family has been to every single show we've went to! We met you guys before the show in 2005 on the triplets BIG NIGHT... still think those suits were killer! Since then I think we've spotted you around the stadium at pretty much every other show we've went to. Did you guys see Ringo in A.C. back in 2008 as well??

Would it be weird for a 30 year old man to buy one of those Pepper outfits and wear it to the concert?

Why not, you wouldn't be the first to do so.

ROFL!! Not after seeing Paul's performance with U2 at Live 8... remember the horn section???
-
lol yep, i guess I am more worried what my Dad (or wife!) would think being seen with me!
-
If it wasn't July, I'd buy one of those Shea jackets but I'd probably pass out from heat exhaustion!

Over 200 different songs in concert, and not once did he play "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey." Can we start a petition to hear this in concert, finally? http//www.setlist.fm/stats/paul-mccartney-13d6bd15.html

I will gladly sign this. The top two on my wishlist were always "Venus & Mars/Rock Show" and "Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey"... Up & Coming Tour took care of the former... now it's time for the stadium to wave our hands across the water!!!

Congrats Wix! We will be in Field 4, row 7.

How does everyone feel about the ticket prices on this tour? I know some are saying, "c'mon, it's Paul McCartney, just pay the man." Reading this board, I'm feeling a small bit let down that I didn't spring for a VIP package, and kudos to those who can afford it. I'm content with what I have but for perspective, my past tickets 2005- MCI 5th row floor, dead center $250. 2013 cost - $1,500 2009 - FEDEX Field A1 (far left side stage) $250. 2013 cost - $650 I keep justifying the expense to my wife by noting Paul's not getting any younger and who knows when he'll tour again. How do you feel about the big jump in prices from 2005/2009?

I think they're outrageous and as much as I'd love a great foor seat, I refuse to pay those prices... even for Paul. And I don't mean to offend anybody on this board who does pay them... maybe I'd feel differently if I could afford them but I really can't justify fitting them into my budget. i mean, even Paul's cheap seats are 100+ bucks... last summer I payed 25 dollars for tickets to the Beach Boys 50th show in Camden... the cheapest seats available and they were much better than some of the hundred dollar tickets I've bought for Paul in the past. Several years back, I payed 75 dollars for floor seats to see Billy Joel... 80 bucks for floor seats to see Springsteen. All that said, Paul is a Beatle... half of the greatest songwriting duo the world has ever seen... I get that and that is why I go. Love Paul... he is the absolute BEST... I just feel these 1500-2000 dollar tickets are a bit excessive.

Yeah, I agree with that. I bought two floor seats, which ended up being almost $600 total. We justified it as an anniversary celebration and figured it would probably be about the same as a trip somewhere for our anniversary (assuming we drove there ... if we're talking about flying somewhere for a trip, it's definitely cheaper). MAYBE I could justify the Hot Sound package, since it includes the soundcheck, but I'm not sure I can justify the other VIP packages. And this is nothing against those who buy those packages! That's just my personal comfort level.
