New tour name same songs

He only did a handful of new songs, and while they were great additions the set is still FAR too Beatles heavy and the second half is interminable. If it wasn't for Hi Hi Hi and Lovely Rita you may as well leave half way through. Pity, the show started so promisingly. AND too many songs that are more Johns: Eight Days a Week, Mr Kite, Day Tripper... And don't get me started in the ridiculous length of time Here Today has been in the set...

I certainly welcome these changes but was a bit miffed that Paul was doing Mr Kite esp as well as the other John Songs, maybe he could have done another SGT Pepper track like When I'm 64, Fixing a Hole, Getting Better or She's Leaving Home. It s good too see the second half of the show alter from how it was before.

You do know not that 90% of this board is going to go "crazy" over the changes. I give McCartney some credit for mixing it up but overall I would give the changes to setilist a B grade. The A grade changes IMO were "Eight Days A WeeK, "Lovely Rita", "Hi Hi Hi" and "Hope of Deliverance". I downgraded " Listen To What The Man Said" to a a B grade because it really needs live horns to be most effective (listend to youtube clip). "Mr Kite" was a C grade to me, nice that it was different but not a song I want to hear McCartney sing. "All Together Now" was a grade "F" to me, too obscure IMO and so much better songs in the McCartney catalog that have been overlooked and he plays that song. I love "Here Today" but it needs to be retired, I think the tribute thing has been overdone at this point. "Let Me Roll It" needs to be sent packing also IMO and the encores need to be shaken up more than just doing "Lovely Rita". The other negative thing is the setlist basically ignores his solo career and there are only a couple of songs that are not at least 30 years old. Finally, nice that there was a effort to make changes but I would have liked to see a little more of his entire career after Beatles/Wings.

And he probably won't do HOD in the states. Fingers crossed for another recent one.

Why go to the concert if "You may as well leave half way through"? Sorry but people need to get over themselves and ENJOY themselves! I can't stand hearing this type of BS when we are still talking about some of the best songs EVER recorded, some people are actually there for the first time hearing them live and others actually like hearing some of those songs. Sheesh!

No, you need to get over yourself. Everybody is entitled to state their opinion.

That is why I was hoping for the new album to be released because at least he would do 1-2 songs from it.

Really...no need to put anyone down because they like one period of his music over another. I love it all but I know the time in which Paul will be performing live is getting shorter & many people would love to hear some newer songs too. that's all. peace out.

Why do some folks still think EIGHT DAYS A WEEK is John's song?? It is Paul's song. John MAY have helped, but in one of his last interviews, he is very candid about what he did and what Paul did, and he said the song was Paul's effort, meaning Paul's song.

I think it's really funny that people are complaining about the songs/lack of songs/changes or not to set lists/ new stage. At this point, you attend a Paul McCartney concert to see the man, the myth, the legend- live on stage. It is never the same experience twice. I personally wouldn't care if he sat at the piano and recited from Shakespeare the entire time. He can do what he wants, there is only one Paul McCartney!

ehh...what a waste if he were to do shakespeare when he has such a vast catalog of music...much of which we will not ever get a chance to hear him perform live.

Betcha Shakespeare would recite some of his newer work and not rely on the oldies - lol

'All Together Now' is not obscure! First of all, it's in the Yellow Submarine movie which many many people have seen, and also it was used in a commercial so lots of people would know it from there as well.
