While You Were Away

Maybe it's just a weird glitch on my little turquoise puter right now--the "While You Were Away" content isn't there...just blackness...the heading While You Were Away is still there but nothing else. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this oddity.

Susy I've only had that happen when I've signed in from another device or signed off then shortly on again. If that happens you can go through the threads with red dots by them, which shows new posts.

I can't see the While You Were Away feature either, Susy... I think it's because I haven't been posting for a while, so the system probably thinks I'm away for too long .. so would be empty when I do come back. But since you're here and post regularly, don't think that would be the case for you...
There are weird glitches going on... I've made some posts (of just photos) that have disappeared, and since people haven't replied to any of these posts, am wondering if they even are showing up! People don't have to reply to my posts, and I wouldn't take it personally if they don't.... that's not the issue ... just wondering if they're only visible to me, and if anyone else has the same problem?
If no one is able to see this post, then I guess you wouldn't be able to answer the question

What photos do you think have disappeared? I just looked in the PM Picture Thread and you posted one of Paul waving out the window of a car. If you come back here tomorrow and click on While You Were Away, you should definitely get a page that shows the threads with news posts with a red dot in front of it. Each day I come on here around 11:30am and 11:30pm and there are always new posts.

I also wonder why the lettering is so faint in our posts in the back pages/archives. That's aggravating and disappointing. Can the Mods just click on something and make that change? Do something ?

Sometimes if you haven't posted for a while, the "While You Were Away" page shows up, but without any posts. You have to actively be part of threads to somehow be marked to get the notifications.
I posted several photos last week that show up for me, but when I log out, and go back to the page, they're not visible at all, which is weird. And when I log back in and go to those photos (that aren't visible to others), it won't let me quote or delete. It could be a software glitch between my laptop and the server here.
This week, I've just posted photos in the Remembering Linda and Paul Picture threads, which seem to be showing up.

Thanks, Susy! I've had some things I've been going through at work and with family that have kept me stressed, but am always trying to stay positive!
I think the font settings can only be changed by whoever set this up, and whoever has access to the servers, and the mods would probably only be able to edit and delete posts.

Leslie, I have that happen too - I log on and post stuff, but if I log off and should go back on the site soon after without logging on, it doesn't show the stuff I just posted. Apparently a day or so has to pass. Otherwise, just log back in and it's there! Weird.

Yeah, that is weird. Thanks for letting me know you've had that problem too. Must just be a glitch in the system between our computer configuration files and the server setup here.
