just saw this on their site: More information will be released in the coming days related to tickets and VIP ticket packages; on-sale information; partners and sponsors; as well as telecast information.
That's been on their site since the site went up... Still can't figure out why they're not putting SOME information out.
Yeah, it's very weird...
-
Still no up to date news on this yet?
-
They just updated the page with photos, but still no ticket info. I DID, though, just see this on their FB page: "Up this week: Info on how to get tickets and new artists added to the AMAZING lineup, which already includes Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, Roger Waters, Kanye West and The Who. Stay tuned, and follow Robin Hood Foundation for more info on the amazing work they're doing to help Sandy survivors!" This week, I guess!

Not leaving much time is it?

Not leaving much time is it?
They must be taking lines out of Paul's concert announcement book.

"ZING!"

well they have to get all the administrative pieces in place, make sure all the ink is dried legally for the charity, that the artists are performing and waiving fees, that there will be certain fee agreements or waivers with unions, with MSG, etc etc etc. there are a TON of things that have to be carefully set up and in place before they can sell tickets.
-
They just created an "event" page on Facebook. Looks like they're gearing up for an announcement about the final artists added to the bill and the ticket prices. I'd expect by Thursday we'll know more! I was initially against going to the show for just a few songs from Paul, but I'm now at least open minded to going, depending on who they add. If it's some quality acts like those already attached to the show, then yes. If it's Bieber and One Direction, I'd rather swallow razor blades than go.
-
how bout Mull of Kintyre Live for the gig!!!! it would blow everyone away!!!!
-
Mull is too obscure for the general (USA) public. He'll do well known songs, Beatles/Wings/Solo.

On the 121212 website it's listing tickets go on sale december 3rd. There is no info about packages or seat prices. Has anyone seen any ticket information other than on sale date for this concert?

Nope...nothing. I had even signed up for their email notifications, but haven't received anything.
-
I got an email from MSG but it only had the onsale date of 12.3 at NOON, said that there would be a variety of ticket prices and that TicketMonster has agreed to waive ticket surcharges....

I checked the prices of the Concert for New York, the last big fundraising concert hosted by the good folks at Robin Hood, and they ranged from $250 to $10,000. Over 10 years ago...
-
Yeah, my best friend had a ticket to that, the $250 tix were in the nosebleeds at the back of MSG

Still debating if it's worth it, even though just about every artist on the bill is someone I either want to see, or want to see again.

Yikes! If these are similar prices, that leaves me out!

It's definitely less of a concert bill this time around (if you compare who was performing at the Concert For NY, that is), however, this concert is over 10 years after that previous show, so it's possible the prices will remain the same, or even go higher.
