How much unheard material does Paul have?

I realize that probably no one but Paul himself knows the exact answer to this question, but I was wondering what you all think about how much recorded material Paul might have around that hasn't been heard by the public.
This question occurred to me because I was recently reading that he recorded 7 or 8 songs for his High in the Clouds project, and as far as I know these haven't been heard. Also, the McCartney 3 song When Winter Comes was apparently recorded back in the 90's, so while it obviously got released eventually, it apparently sat around unheard for a long time.
How much unheard material do you all think Paul has "in the vault"? It seems to me like he must have built up a lot over the years, and I'd be very curious to know what he has.

I’m pretty sure they were filming/recording Oceans Kingdom when I heard it’s debut. Beautiful ballet and Stella made costumes that were so pretty and floaty as the dancers were underwater in a good part of the ballet. Was hoping there would be a DVD of that show. So sad that it’s not out in DVD, really enjoyed it.
I’m sure there must be a lot more that we are missing, he’s been playing for so many years now...

You are right, there is no way to tell and my guess would be quite a lot. These recordings would be the type of thing to put on an "Anthology" box set if he ever did one of his solo career. Another example is he probably has recorded a bunch of demo's for the musical "It's A Wonderful Life" which will never make it to the actual show.

I think some things will come back in the years to come. There will be new editions. Plus album anniversaries. And finally, I hope it will be as late as possible. When Paul McCartney leaves us. I think a lot of new things will come out like: Songs, videos and more.

Just based on how much has come out on the Archive releases plus how much is on bootlegs and YouTube, it seems to me that there is a considerable amount that he has not been released. Just this morning I had up some of McCartney III bonus demos on YouTube and YouTube feeds up some song he did, think it was called Cruising Ahead. His voice almost sounded like Elvis but Google revealed no such title by Elvis. Then think of things that have never made it on bootlegs or youtube, it must be tons considering 50 years of being a prolific artist.
Edited addition.....just checked YouTube and Cruising Ahead was from the Back to the Egg sessions.

I'm sure not long after I've checked out the McCartney Estate will be releasing unheard tracks for years to come & probably digital format. I think we've heard the best he has to offer & at this stage of my life I'm cool w/ that. I'm also okay that my entire McCartney & music collection is going to be sold at a garage sale, pawn shop or given away. I only the people who end up w/ it appreciate it as much as I do.

One great one worth checking out that many have probably heard is called Evonne that he wrote with Eric Stewart back in the Press to Play era. It's on YouTube just enter McCartney Evonne. Sorry not good at putting up links.
Paul never released this but think Stewart might have done a version with him providing the vocals.

I agree that in general we've probably heard most of the best he has to offer, but at the same time I think a song like When Winter Comes shows that we probably haven't heard all of the good stuff. I absolutely love When Winter Comes and yet he had that song sitting around unheard for like 25 years, and in that time made I think 7 rock/pop albums that he could have included it on, but chose not to. Makes me think there could be others too.

Whoops! Glad you caught the spelling mistake. I first heard that song off the Good Tines Comin bootleg that I got back in the 90s and couldn't believe something that good would remain unreleased.

In an interview with the TV Times magazine back in the mid 80s paul claimed to have 2000 unreleased songs. In one of the new interviews about mccartney 3 paul said he wrote on average one song a week. So we can only begin to imagine how many unreleased songs there are.
Some have leaked out onto bootleg and we have heard them. Others we know the names of. Others we know exist but don't know the name of them. Then there are the majority that we know nothing about.

I agree, it has to be a considerable amount. After hearing the phone demo of The Kiss of Venus, it brings to mind a contest they should run on here....."Send in your name and win Paul's Phone!" I wish!!!
