Paul Mccartney 2022 - rumours

I haven't been on here for forever, health made me lose the habit of logging on, sorry!
Do we reckon there will be UK gigs before Glasto, or will his US tour ending 9 days before the Glasto gig be enough of a warm up etc for him?
Not sure i can physcially do it, but i think we'll want to try (UK gigs that is, not Glastonbury, festivals have always been out for me, and Glasto is a nightmare!!!!)

My guess is that Paul will schedule 1 or 2 warm-up gigs in Europe (UK) prior the the Glasto show on the 25th.

The US tour are the warmup gigs. Glasto is the first Euro gig, assuming WW3 hasn't happened by then...

I would laugh, but it's really not funny at all and could happen! Damn that Putin! 🤬

If he does the Russia "Love Me Do" story again, I hope everyone boo's like the Amsterdam crowd did.

Another Boston date added. Interesting as i've not seen too many people struggling to get tickets for the first Boston show

Agreed. The stadium shows are WIDE OPEN. Tons of tix left, even NJ has quite a bit. This is probably the last go around for Paul. He's charging mroe than the Stones, and he's only 1 MAIN guy, where the Stones are now 3 MAIN guys. Its the final cash grab before hanging it up.
He'll finish up in NJ, do the Euro run, and probably call it a day. Maybe a spot show here and there. If you are on the ledge about seeing him this summer..DO IT. The man is 80. He's earned his rest, and has been touring non stop since 2002. Don't think about 2-5 years from now, or even this fall. This is it..

Only if he drops dead on the stage one night. He will tour as long as he is physically and/or mentally able.

According to a source who works for the local promoter, Paul will return to Brazil next year. There are negotiations for three concerts in February 2023 at the Morumbi Stadium in Sao Paulo, where he did two concerts back in November 2010.
Here's the original link, in Portuguese:

Update: Argentina and Chile are also in negotiations for concerts in February 2023, apparently.
He usually begins touring in April (sometimes in late March), so I'll be surprised if the shows end up being confirmed for February. I think the last time that happened was back in 1993.
I'll be even more surprised if he really does 3 concerts in the same city/venue in Brazil, as that has never happened. I guess it would be more convenient and cost-effective for him and his large crew, plus tons of equipment.

Another update, this time from a woman who has been a McCartney fan for the past 40 years.
She wrote the article below (in Portuguese) and mentioned that she's a journalist who has been to 24 McCartney concerts since 1990. She even sold her car to buy a "hot sound package". She was called up onstage by Paul during a 2011 soundcheck in Rio de Janeiro.
This time she attended both Seattle concerts and wrote about this long article about the experience and what fans can expect from his current tour.
Here's the most interesting part for me:
"Two inside sources from his team confirmed to me that he really will come to the country but did not disclose places and dates. 'Cross your fingers and in 2023 we will bring the tour to Brazil', the source told me".

I just downloaded it onto my iPad, went to photos and clicked on it, then clicked Edit and clicked the rotation button. Then uploaded it to Photobucket so I could share it here.

Having seen the Spokane video and a few other clips from the tour, I'd love for him to do a few gigs in Europe. I did have tickets for the 2020 show in Hannover that got cancelled so I feel he owes us. It doesn't look very likely at the moment, though.
I did see him on the Freshen Up tour in 2018 which was the last time he toured Europe so I have my peace of mind if he calls it a day after this tour but damn, I'd really love to see him one more time. I'd even buy an overpriced t-shirt, I promise!
