I'm having a lot of trouble getting the newsletter though... registered but I never actually get them. Anyone know what to do about that?? I would hate to miss the presale.

Also, if you have an AMEX card you can get in the pre-sale.
https://paulmccartneygotback.com/
The best seats will be obtained by AMEX cardholders as their pre-sale starts at 10am on the 22nd. People who only get the newsletter will have to wait until 12 noon. It says "local time" but wouldn't that give an advantage to those at EST or further east? *confused*
There really aren't a huge amount of seats released for the AMEX presale. As far as the "local time" that means 10:00 (or noon) where the venue is located. So someone on the east coast would have to wait until 1:00 (3:00pm) for tickets in Los Angeles.
I see, thanks!

Can a Mod please change the title of this thread to Paul McCartney 2022 Tour?

I know how to sign up... and I have. It's says my email is registered, I just never get any emails. That's the part I'm confused about. I'm not sure what to do if I just don't get the newsletters even though I've signed up.

Hey guys! If looking to get good seats with a VIP package, is the best approach generally to go through the PM presale? AMEX? Wait until more get released to the general public?

Is anybody else already stressed about getting tickets like I am? Each time it seems to get harder and harder with the scalpers taking everything before you even have a chance to try!

Well any shows we get will be "minty fresh"
ROTFLMAO!
Exactly. I can predict the set list already. Basically the same show as years ago with maybe three songs from "McCartney III" replacing the couple of "Egypt Station" songs.
Hey Yankeefan...I guess I'm happy he's touring abain. It seems like a long time since he toured last and maybe the long rest will help his vocals sound better.
As far as Setlist additions/substitutions from the last tour, I hope we could get:
I Don't Know (Paul didn't do it on the last tour except 1 time in a rehearsal) Far better than "Fuh You" or "Come On to Me"
Happy With You - would love this in the acoustic section; so much better than doing Fuh You from the last tour
Hunt You Down/Naked - one of the encore songs instead of the Beatle Encore songs he has always done in the past.
Dominoes - one of his best Solo songs instead of "Come On To Me"
Confidante - maybe he could do a better vocal than what's on the album/Egypt Station
Early Days - replaces "Here Today" as a tribute song to John
Friends to Go - replaces "Something" as a tribute song to George
Find My Way - wouild love to hear the full Band doing this great song on McCartney 3
Seize the Day - my favorite song on McCartney 3
Slidin - great new rocker instead of Helter Skelter
_________________________________________
These are just some of the "wishes" I could only hope he would do on a new Setlist. And I did this strictly off the top of my head without thinking too much or researching the last Setllist. I'm sure there are many more choices you and I would love to see.
BJ, I am not happy he is touring again because I am expecting the worst from his voice. He will be 80 years old and we all have admitted his voice has not aged well. Did you hear him sing "Get Back" with David Grohl at Rock and Roll HOF ceremony? It was not good to put it kindly and I can't imagine what he will sound like trying to pull off 2 1/2 hr show. As for the setlist, we all know better so while the songs you listed would be great there will not be more than 2 or 3 of them in the show. If I had to guess which ones he would select it would be "Find My Way", "Slidin" and "Seize The Day".
One of the dates he is playing is Winston Salem NC which is about 1 hr drive from Charlotte NC. My wife asked if I was interested in going and I said no. Very simply, don't want to spend the time and money to hear his voice at this stage in his career and have setlist which I have heard 90% of it many times already. For others on this thread that are excited, good for them and I wish them a good time.

What's the consenus? Do we think we'll still be offered a chance to buy tickets by being memebers of this community?
C
Just want to mention that Camden Yards is one of my all time favorite ballparks, last time I was there was in 2018 and the Orioles beat my NY Yankees 6-5 -lol. This stadium is just so cozy and every seat seems to be a good one. I love the food there and the times I went there always stopped at "Boog Powell's BBQ".

Has anyone seen how many tickets can be purchased during Amex presale?

Hey Yankeefan...In reviewing the Show Dates, I don't think any of them work for us. We're going to be in NJ during most of May and they don't work for us at all. And in June we will be in the Canadian Rocky Mountains
Like you...that probably works out better for me. Haven't seen any prices yet, but I don't want to pay those kine of prices either especially with what I perceive the Setlist will be and the quality of his current voice,
I will be curious with what his setlist will be once the shows begin. I agree with you that he will probable just add a 3-4 McCartney 3 songs. It's a shame because this is a time where I think he could shake up the Setlist significantly. Don't see it happening however. Hope I'm wrong.

"We're going to be in NJ during most of May and they don't work for us at all. And in June we will be in the Canadian Rocky Mountains"
Glad it seems you will be finally able to do this trip. If all goes well, we will be on our Alaskan cruise in early June.

He turns 80 in June so I think it is not realistic to see him put the time and effort into really shaking up the set list. Notice, he appears to be playing places for the first time or the first time in many years. This means the audience will be thrilled with anything he does and he can tell the same old stories -lol.
"Haven't seen any prices yet, but I don't want to pay those kind of prices either especially with what I perceive the Setlist will be and the quality of his current voice,"
I am betting that two really good seats to one of his shows will be more than I will pay to take the Alaskan cruise in June -lol

WOW!!! I am overwhelemed at the idea of Paul coming to Baltimore! Truly a dream come true...and thank goodness it is well before our trip to Hawaii! However, my wife will be sitting this one out. My Grandmother is so incredibly excited to "get back on the run" that she and I are finally considering after all the shows and traveling we've done, to capitalize on NOT having any travel/lodging expenses...to finally pull the trigger on SOUNDCHECK! There's no way we could afford three of the tickets at that price level and frankly, my wife (while still a fan) probably wouldn't appreciate the SC experience as much.
We will have access to the AMEX presale on Tuesday. Are VIP Packages included in that, or do we have to wait until Friday for them? WE've never even been able to consider them before, so this is a piece of the puzzle totally new to me!
-
For what it's worth, I also wanted to bring into the discussion here that while Paul is in Baltimore on June 12th, Ringo is in Baltimore on June 13th and 14th. Ringo has a show in Rhode Island on June 12th, but both Beatles have off on June 13th, and Paul is off on both of Ringo's show nights. I really can't picture Paul McCartney just popping in at The Lyric Opera House with the All-Starr band, but the timing is absolutely insane that his first Baltimore appearance is just days before Ringo's couple of nights in town. It's also worth noting that Ringo has a free day on June 16th, when Paul's tour concludes in NY before continuing onto Boston. Perhaps Ringo may appear at MetLife Stadium?

The Amex presales usually do include the VIP packages as well! You and your grandmother will love seeing the soundcheck for the first time! I was able to go once as well back in 2015 and it was so much fun to watch and meet so many fellow Paul fans!

Correct, this will be an abomination. The voice won't hold. He isn't Mick Jagger..

The best way would be to get on the AMEX pre-sale because it starts earlier. Which "VIP" package do you want? (And which concert?) There is Front Row (sides only), Hot Sound Package, Gold VIP and Silver VIP. If the seats you want don't come up with the 10am AMEX sale, then try the PM pre-sale at noon. DO NOT wait for general public sale or you won't get anything probably!

Or in my case, detail obsessed. Whatever they are, count me in!

Has anyone looked at the seating plans for the different venues yet?
I had a look and there is quite a lot of variation.
Hard Rock Live has an all standing general admission 'pit' area. It was like this for The Stones.
Seattle shows the floor area as one big GA area. This can't be right?!
Oakland appears to have a small 'pit' area next to the stage and in front of the reserved floor seating.
The rest of the seating maps all look normal, i.e. the floor is 100% reserved seating.
I wonder if the current seating plans are accurate?
