Billy Joel just played there, and I think Elton is due to soon as well.
So it seems they are really hammering the vintage acts!
Would not be at all surprised if this show was announced for Paul.
After seeing the Stones there in November, and staying at the hotel, it is really great to just be able to walk down from your hotel room, grab a beer, and hit the show!
Sounds great. Was it more expensive than usual? That's what I heard.

How can they sell tickets for a show that isn't even officially announced?
-
I don't believe it. Venue is 7K peeps, much too small for Paul. Plus, it's not listed on the official site. Wish it were true, would be great seeing him in a small place but I doubt that it will happen.

Another rumored McCartney concert: July at Citi Field, in New York.

Someone told me about it and did not ask for secrecy, so I guess there's no problem sharing the info.

Do you trust him/her? Because anyone could say that kind of thing

Yes, I believe it's possible.

Well, other artists that normally play bigger venues (The Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Elton John...) have all played there or are about to. The owners of the Hotel / Casino have a sh*t ton of money to throw at booking the very best acts out there.
It's not listed on the official site because it's only a rumour at this point.

Yes, unfortunately tickets were priced higher than normal because it was a much smaller venue than the stadiums that they played for the rest of the dates on the tour. I managed to get two floor tickets, which were general admission standing, for face value, so I felt quite lucky. I would think perhaps that for Paul it would be all seating?
But to reiterate my point above, just being able to hang out at the hotel / casino before AND after the show, without having to worry about transport etc. sure was great!

The Stones at the Hard Rock was a real good show! I thought the sound was excellent. I agree, enjoying the casino and bars without having to worry about transportation added to a great night. I thought getting in was going to be a problem. The people were lined up through the casino near the entrance. They opened the doors and I think I waited about 10 minutes to get in. There were a lot of small bars set up inside to get drinks. They did a good job with that concert.
I hope the rumors are true and McCartney gets back on the road.

That one makes more sense to me. I expected him to do outdoor stadiums when he returned to touring, Indoor tours right now are still hitting postponements due to Covid outbreaks...see Eddie Vedder's current tour as a recent example.

I agree with you! Although I'd prefer a smaller venue, I don't see him doing that right now.

Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida seems to be a strong rumor at this point.
-
As for Citifield; I worked for the NY Mets-let me see what I can find out from my friends over there.

Thanks for all the reports. Even if the specifics don't pan out, it sounds like we'll be getting some shows this year and that's amazing!
Ringo is also playing at the casino place in June. That's more of his type of venue. Looks like Elton's shows are seated with some $500-800 silver package seats in the front and the now common verified re-sale for thousands in the lower front section.
As much as I like a smaller indoor venue because the sound at stadiums can be pretty bad. There's just some fun energy that comes from a larger show. That said - as soon as he says the word I'm off to get tickets, flights etc. Where in the world are we going this time Macca fans?

I would love a smaller venue, always prefer them, but still seems a bit unexpected to me for him to turn up at a casino venue, no matter if the Stones played it or whomever. Elton has played casinos before; he had a Vegas residency at Caesars several years back. I know Paul did play the Hard Rock Vegas show a few years back (I was there!) but I think he played it because it was a venue "opening" and he likes to play those kinds of shows.
If Paul does have a tour planned, it would be nice to get all of the dates at once, but I wonder if he will just go back to his methold of releasing only one or two at a time, drip drip drip...
-
I miss the days of drip drip drip hahaha
Well any shows we get will be "minty fresh"
-
I doubt he'll ever give all the dates at once, if threre are any.
