Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors

Smaller markets are not guaranteeing sellouts for him Pittsburgh and Charlottesville had decent tickets available from the venue day of the show...not normal based on my other experiences... There are some cities that Paul can rely on, but getting too adventurous in the Americas doesn't seem to be panning out like Paul's team keeps hoping. In other words, he may as well go to Australia and risk it there for his fans. He's Paul McCartney...can the ticket sales be THAT bad that he'd lose money? I find it hard to believe.
Depends on what you mean by "losing money." Paul could play smaller markets, Australia, etc. and still make money. The question is, would it be ENOUGH money?
He should remember the spirit of his first Wings shows in the early 70s--cheap and simple. I am not saying go tour universities and charge a pittance but at that time the money didn't seem to matter to him as much and he had much less of it, what with the Beatles in litigation, etc.

Here is an article published 3 days ago (in Spanish) about the financial troubles that Argentina is facing in order to bring the biggest entertainers to their country: http://www.cronista.com/negocios/Productoras-de-espectaculos-apuran-el-pago-de-shows-de-2016-para-sortear-una-posible-devaluacion-20150824-0018.html It's not that they don't have the money to pay the artists' fees (they do, apparently), but some laws are preventing them from doing business. For example, their Central Bank will only allow one hundred and fifty thousand dollars to be sent overseas per week.

It's not really Paul that would lose the money. Remember, he gets his guaranteed fee upfront. So it's the promoter who takes a chance that the concerts will sell out. Otherwise, the promoter loses the money because he still has to pay Paul, whether they sell 20,000 tickets or 2. If a promoter loses money on Paul once, they probably won't be too likely to have him return. Or perhaps it is some promoters who cannot raise the guarantee. Wasn't there one guy who offered to pay it himself, personally, and then asked the city to reimburse him? I remember there was a story about that a while back.
Yes, but it is Paul who is setting such a high fee. Of course, he will get his money. But promoters are not going to take that risk. If Paul would lower his fee, it would be different. I think it was Quebec or somewhere that the city backed up the fee. Albuquerque is not going to do that!

And I think I heard that they refuse to pay them in U.S. Dollars

Actually they want to pay them in dollars, but like I said their government will only allow $150,000.00 to leave the country per week.

Good idea! Too bad Paul would not agree.

That's what happens when you live in a third world country!

Who is planning on going to those Hollywood Vampires gigs next month in the US? It's quite possible that Paul will show up and sing "Come And Get It" with Alice Cooper. The band will also be part of the Rock In Rio festival, but I seriously doubt Paul would come all the way to Brazil just for a short guest spot.

To Brazil? It would be a huge surprise. However, I will not be there.

I'm going to one of the Hollywood Vampire gigs in L.A.! I managed to win a pair from a radio station because the tickets sold out almost immediately.

Congratulations and good luck! I hope he will be there.

Isn't he still on vacation in the Hamptons? I've seen a couple of pics that fans took of him out & about, trying to look incognito.

Mr. Carlos, Care to translate this for us, please? http://atarde.uol.com.br/cultura/musica/noticias/1708422-salvador-deve-ter-mais-2-grandes-shows-em-2016-diz-produtor-premium Salvador deve ter mais 2 grandes shows em 2016, diz produtor O senhor vai trazer Paul McCartney em 2016? Diferente do Ceará, a Bahia é conhecida.
