Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors

It's been 10+ years since he hasn't played major stadiums in Europe, should be a treat to see him in an 80,000 seater...provided you've got a good spot in the front !

If Paul doesn't play in Europe nowadays 'cos of the economy then why play in big stadiums instead of much smaller arenas? Arenas are much nicer with much better view from everywhere and they can sell out more quickly. Although stadium shows are still better than nothing.

Having nothing...I have to agree.

For him to have been as prolific a tourer as he has been since 2002 and not come to Australia once is an absolute disgrace.
He has the gall to sing "do some good before you say goodbye..." and rubs Australia's face in the dirt continually. Aussie fans are as passionate as any in the world. He HAS an obscene amount of loot as it is. Give us ONE bloody concert or a tour? His kid is NOT a reason. His neglect is down to $$$. How many more millions can a septuagarian NEED? So it's all about what he WANTS. He makes being a hardcore Aussie fan a bloody trial. Already some of my mates have washed their hands of him. And I can understand why. And to those who reckon all I do is moan, I say how would YOU feel if the shoe was on the other foot? You'd reckon at his age (and finite time left) he'd have reached the stage where he could afford to give a bit back. But no... $$$ first. Pathetic and insulting.

Reading this message is sad.... Sad because it is TRUE! Some may (stupidly) take offence... But what Moptops is saying is the absolute, 100% honest to god truth!

I see the people in that French link have mentioned two possibilities: 1) First half of June (according to "Zegut") 2) June 27 (according to "Anonyme") If my French is correct, of course.
Interesting. I wonder if he'll do USA dates in the fall then.
Maybe Europe in June and the US in July/August?

The current rumors: February 14 - New York May - Latin America June 19-21 - Firefly Festival (the 18th is off, being his birthday) June - Paris (either the first half or the 27th) Summer - US tour Apparently there's also a rumor of a concert in London, but I don't know how reliable that is.

That would be great. May I ask you where do the London rumor come from? Thanks

A few people have mentioned it to me. Apparently it's being discussed on Facebook, but since I don't have an account on that social network I don't know the details.

Absolutely. Still even without McCartney gracing our shores, happy to be living in the greatest country on the planet.
Hey bud, when did you move to Argentina?

http://www.bst-hydepark.com Makes sense, no?

Yes, that Hyde Park festival in June makes sense indeed. Maybe a real European tour will happen this time? My bets would be France, the UK, Germany, Spain and Holland. Am I missing other big markets not covered by the 2013 mini-tour?

You mean after 66 shows in North America, South America, Central America and Asia, besides the whopping 3 shows in Verona, Vienna and Warsaw :lol That would mean Iceland, Ireland, England, Scotland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Russia, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Greece, the whole Eastern Europe including Hungary, Czech, Croatia, and so on... But it all doesn't make sense anyway, he toured pretty extensively with the exhausted same core of a show in between 2009-2012, now finally brings the songs we wanted to hear and he stays away. Baffling.

Perhaps it will be something similar to his May/June 2004 tour of Europe.

It's about time. But knowing from experience I wouldn't get my hopes up too high. Those days are long gone. He will tour America full on and maybe throws in a few easy money makers in Europe over the summer. Also, the larger part including special moments like a tribute as 'Here Today' will still be the same as that tour. Frustrating, since when he does add fresh things he ditches it after one leg or never gets them to another continent ('Your Mother Should Know', 'The Word', 'Come And Get It' and so on) or swaps them for the same ol' same ol' after one tour ('The Night Before', 'Letting Go', 'I'm Looking Through You' and so on) or not even past one or two shows ('Every Night', 'Hope Of Deliverance' and so on). The reviews and concert attendees will mention this in Europe.
-
How about half a dozen shows in Europe in June, then?

That is frustrating. I think he played "You Won't See Me" in the summer of 2004 and that was that. It's a great song. I never saw it live.

Yup. Those are gone. But "Here Today" is here to stay!
