mr.flamingpie:
I just checked the schedule the three european gig's 2013 were announced. It was 20th march. Should history really repeats again it could be around a month till we know what, or better if something, happens...
You are right. In previous years his May/June concerts were announced in late March, so it's possible it will be the same this year. Now it's a matter of where he will tour this time. Hopefully the time has come for Europe!

Blur announced for Hyde Park, late June.

The Foo Fighters will headline the granddaddy of Britain's outdoor summer music events, Glastonbury Festival. Frontman Dave Grohl shared the news at Wednesday night's NME Awards in London during his taped acceptance speech for the Foos' win in the best international band category. The Foos will headline the Friday night program (June 26) on Glastonbury's main Pyramid Stage. It'll be the U.S. rock group's first performance at the famous fest since 1998, when they were promoting the Foos' second album The Color & The Shape. They're now on album No. 8, Sonic Highways.

Whether you like them or not really isn't relevant...although, the way you respond to it certainly is since there is another human being at the end of the message board. Anyway, it's also relevant to Paul McCartney because that means he will NOT be headlining. Scratch that "rumor" off the list...

There are 3 Glastonbury headliners. But McCartney isn't even near being a rumour for it. He had the iconic 2004 slot already. This is about whether Hyde Park will be an option in June, since they billed legendary UK artists for this summer. With Blur now being announced for a grande reunion, the chance is more slim it being McCartney.

Ahhh...I misunderstood. But still, same point being made that "any" slot has been filled. However, Paul is pretty close with Dave Grohl these days...perhaps he'll swing by!

Let's hope not, since I was already glad I could be far, far, far away from the Pyramid and spend my sparse time useful elsewhere when the neo-dad rock of Grohl hits the stage, hehehe...

Regarding Paris, the source brought the same information last year, which obviously didn't happen: http://www.byzegut.fr/2013/12/paul-mccartney-stade-de-france-juin-2014.html Not saying it's far-stretched, just something to consider.

I've got a feeling...Europe won't be seeing our guy this summer.

Saw Paul at Anfield 08. Grohl added absolutely zilch to the show. He gets a real kick out of hanging and playing with Paul. I get that. Good on him.

I'm wondering: after sales are over on February 28 and the 4 Japanese concerts are sold out, will Budokan be announced?

I believe they will be, after general sales.
