Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors

NYC almost seems like a given...and if I recall, one of your pair of rumored dates are the same dates he played Barclays in 2013. I'm currently free on all four of your rumors except June 6th...so the odds aren't too bad for me! How amazing would a birthday concert at MSG be the night before this festival? That's what I want for my...I mean, HIS birthday!
Yeah, Barclays was June 8 and 10 Citi Field and Yankee Stadium were the same weekend, so maybe this will be the same as Barclays!?

You mean they were the same weekend in July I could see June 13/15 in NYC, then maybe June 17th in Philly, then the 19th at Firefly. Or...June 6/8 in NYC then 13/15 in Philly (he did two nights last time!) and then Firefly. I just don't see Boston or DC happening. They've seen the Out There tour already and really, with the exception of NYC, that definitely seems to be something we can depend on Paul taking into account.

Prudential Center is out both weekends. Barclays or MSG. Maybe Nassau Coliseum but I PRAY not.

. Barclays is the new happening place for concerts in NY (outside of Manhattan.) I think it's more likely than Nassau. But it's only been 2 years since Barclays.. Whereas he hasn't played MSG since 05. Long overdue for a return. IF something could be worked out around the Rangers' playoff schedule, I'd say that it's MSG's turn. This is purely speculation.

It's also speculation that the Rangers will even make it to the Stanley Cup finals, which is the round that would be played in early June. ;). But the dates may well be blocked out anyway. I do see that MSG is booked June 20, 21 & 22 with Billy Joel and New Kids on The Block, and Bette Midler a few days later.
-
These rumors are making me crazy... I took time off and hoped Paul will be in Europe early summer so I can go with my friends... as early rumors predicted.... How do people make plans?!

OR a return to Citi Field or Yankee Stadium... This is the 50th anniversary of the Shea Stadium concert. I'd come up for an anniversary show in August at Citi Field*! *There is NO rumor whatsoever for this. I'm just day dreaming!

I wonder what venue he'll play in 2015 in NY. Will be interesting. The Stanley Cup ran June 4-13 last year, and will probably run 3-12 this year, with the Ranges most likely in it. MSG June 6-8 seems unlikely. 13-15 seems more likely. It may move due to playoffs. it all depends on if Paul plays back-to-back nights this year. I think he's stopping that this year. (Tokyo on the 23,25,27). Of course he could play during the summer, but it would make more sense to do it with Firefly.t here will be gigs no question, as he can't jet out all the gear for one night only. EDIT: Citi Field is available July 17th-22. Foo Fighters playing then too. Paul could do the 18th and 20th there, but U2 starts their MSG residency that weekend, so Paul would have competition. MSG or Barclays seems to be the only real options left. I wouldn't be surprised if it is Barclays. But you guys think he'll do an NYC show this year?
-
I have no doubt there will be an NYC show this year...unless he considers SNL to be his "stop" for the year...
-
Hope he does NYC this year! It was missed last year...
-
I wonder where the gig will be. This is very frustrating!! But I doubt SNL is his "stop" this year. The only reason Irving Plaza happened was because 90% of the tickets were private! It was literally a private gig and we got the leftovers. I hope he'll do a public show.
-
Really, 90% were private?! Well from the one person I know who went...it was sooooo wonderful, that I hope Paul does this again. Just so that some lucky people get to see their favorite artist play up close! And I also think he should start this brilliant new trend in NJ!

I could see him doing either. Personally, I prefer Barclays over Citi Field, but he'd be more obliged to do 2 nights at Barclays to cover the New York ticket demand. Honestly, I don't care to see him at a stadium in the future.. Always much farther from the stage at a stadium plus the uncertainty of weather. I've done too many rainy shows in the past. Unless he comes to my hometown of Pittsburgh and plays one of our 2 stadiums, (completely unlikely this year), I don't plan to see him at a stadium ever again. Better chances of being close at an arena.

Hmm I didn't even think about the 50th anniversary.. Interesting point. Well, for that sake, I'd suck it up and probably go to Citi Field IF he doesn't hit any arenas nearby me. I promised myself to see him at least once every year he tours the US.

Didn't they sell about 1000 tickets at $40? They place only holds about 1500 or less so by my math only about 25% of the tickets were "private."

700 of those 1,000 were for celebrity guests and VIPs. 300 were available for us normal folks. So actually 70% private. Those seats were $550 and were sold well in advance.

I guess mine got lost in the mail. I'll cut him some slack this time.

If Paris is going to happen, I wish it would be announced soon. I don't really want to go all the way to Paris and book a hotel, but the only advantage is that I think I can navigate around if I have to. What I'd like to know is- why this venue has been rumoured both this year and last year when obviously last year never happened?

The 2007 L'Olympia show is gonna be hard to beat.
