Paul McCartney 2015 Rumors

RMartinez:
A European Tour in 2015 is a smart move. This means he won't have to change the tour name or set list. I'd be surprised if he plays many, or any, US markets this year that has already seen the Out There tour.
Are Tokyo and Osaka the only cities (so far, at least) to get the Out There tour twice? (I think they are but I haven't really been keeping track.)

[How fast/easy/cheap is it to travel between those two cities in France?
Hi Carlos, I don't know if anyone's mentioned this (I haven't read through the full thread yet), but another option for getting from city to city in Europe is a Eurail pass. This might work out quite cost effective and will tend to take you direct to the city, rather than having to transfer to and from an airport for each journey: http://www.eurail.com/eurail-passes The exception (I think) is the UK, which has its own separate pass: http://www.britrail.net/ Hope that helps! Good luck with tickets! Cheers, Andrew.

Thanks, I hope the concert tickets will not be too difficult to buy.

Sorry, Carlos! I just meant that the prices had been added. I don't think they were listed before?

That's right. Better prices than in South America, but I'm worried about the "Bespoke Information packs and tickets sent in advance" part. I would rather get the ticket and merchandise at the venue. They are updating the list as we speak.

Great minds think alike: I did that earlier today, I'm just waiting for their reply. If the tickets and merchandise items are handed over to the customer at the venues, it's a tempting offer... half the price that is charged in South America!

Also, I found this info on the website: "International Courier GBP 32.00 All Non-UK addresses. Tickets will be delivered to your specified address by International Courier approx 7-10 days prior to the event. A signature is required on delivery."

Yes, both Tokyo and Osaka have seen the latest "Out There" setlist back in November, 2013. It will be very interesting to see if Paul shakes up the set list a bit during the upcoming dates in Japan. My guess is he will include song(s) [ ie: Appreciate??] that were scheduled for the '14 Japanese dates which were postponed. We'll just have to wait and see...

Would you be happy with delivery by courier, or is that still a risk?

Thank you, that's very important info indeed. I will not be at home anymore 7-10 days before the concerts, so I'll just try my luck with regular tickets. Fingers crossed!

By the way, when they say: "All Non-UK addresses. Tickets will be delivered to your specified address by International Courier approx 7-10 days prior to the event" Do you think they mean just the tickets that come with the VIP packages or regular tickets as well?

Yeah, I hope so! There are a quite a few songs I'd like to see that he could easily included to mix it up a bit. To name a few: - Appreciate (as you say, probably quite likely) - Alligator (maybe less likely, but I'd love to see it!) - Early Days (maybe a small chance?) - One After 909 (maybe a moderate chance?) - Coming Up (played a lot in soundchecks) - Jet (played at one of 3 Tokyo shows last time, not at all in Osaka) - Junior's Farm (played a lot on the Out There tour, but not in Japan) - Venus and Mars/Rockshow (played a bit on the tour, but not in Japan) Cheers, Andrew.

That's on the Event Travel site, so I think it only applies to VIP tickets. If you buy presale tickets through Crowdsurge, there should be a "will call" option. Actually, for Japan, it was the only option this time because hardly anyone got their tickets on time in 2013. It's possible that Crowdsurge now does will call only across the board for international purchases; I'm not sure. However, I believe they will replace tickets at "will call" if you don't receive them on time.

You're right. That's what happened when I bought tickets to Paul's concerts in South America, and I got them at the box offices without any problems. If that's the way it works in EU/UK as well, it's good enough for me.
-
5th Beatle I sent them an email as well. I was hoping to get VIP for the Amsterdam show as it's GA, but I would be in UK for the Liverpool show 7-10 days before the Amsterdam show. Will Call is a good option but someone earlier in this thread mentioned it took them awhile to get the tickets and by then most people had gone through - so they ended up far from the stage... I wonder if you can do will call a day before the show? Just to make sure I have my ticket well before they start letting people in. I wish they would just have a guest list, since the ticket is tied to your name, then get a "souvenir" ticket with your merch.
-
nobodytold me, could you expand on this? What happened? I'm thinking of VIP tickets for Amsterdam but they would mail the hard tickets when I'm in Europe already. Will call would be better option but I don't want to have issues the day of the show.

5th-beatle:
Do his Euro concerts usually offer the "will call" option to pick tickets up at the box office?
They certainly do, but never ever ever do that with standing tickets, that screwed me over in Bologna so bad, worst place I ever had during a McCartney gig because of the total incompetence of the organization in every single way thinkable. Always go for e-tickets, gives you the full flexibility, also in terms of when you have to sell your tickets on.
